Rotherham v Cardiff

Mate was watching it and said that they were battering Rotherham prior to the torrential rain.
This might work in our favour as the game will probably be rescheduled during a midweek sometime

They’ll only play the remaining 40 minutes though.

Would not be surprised if they just awarded the points to Cardiff though. Completely unfair on them.

Rotherham only a point above Cardiff so they are still in it.
So are reading if they get 6 point reduction as expected.
But we need some wins (& less injuries!)

Today was a perfect opportunity to drag the other teams in including reading , Swansea , qpr -

If they awarded the points to Cardiff it would be completely unfair on Rotherham given there were still 40 minutes to play!

Have you seen the state of the pitch? They had sprinklers on and the ground staff were literally moving rainwater back onto the pitch!

If you’re a Championship club and can’t hack a bit of rain it’s embarrassing tbh.

As this been confirmed? If it was abandoned after 70 mins I think the result usually stands but it was earlier I think.

They have to replay 90 mins just confirmed on Rotherham site.
Apparently they watered at ht when it was raining!

I wonder if they might get in trouble for that, the game was abandoned after 47 minutes, if their actions contributed towards that could it mean a points deduction?

Seen some rather questionable videos of the Rotherham groundstaff trying to ‘clear’ the pitch and get the game back on……

It was far, far worse than a couple of those games we had called off during lockdown, to be fair.

Just reading this article I actually don’t think a Cardiff win would have been a bad result as Rotherham have a shocking run in.

to me, it seems that Cardiff have a tough run in rather than the described "relatively kind".
