With Barnsley called off what we now up to?
I still haven't told the wife I'm not going.
So no plans as yet.

I don’t think I'll get away with leaving the car in the driveway and turning up pissed 8 hours later.I tried that but her old man told her, I then got a bollocking for saying nothing.
Off to the Dales for the night away
Lovely wintry sunshine weather and fresh air. What’s not to like
Your Mum might not say much Herts, but it’s lovely that you do that every week.
It’s not bad Herts. It’s families and the bond that glues us together regardless. Sounds like you should create some down time for yourself though at some point. This is going to sound bad, I find it really difficult as I can’t communicate very well and she has nothing to talk about. She’s incredibly well for her age, although she has noticeably got worse in the last 12 months and I’ve never really been that close to her, whereas I was best friends with my dad.
It means I lose every weekend because I have to work on Sundays, from home fortunately, doing paperwork and planning for forthcoming jobs. Saturday is my only day off.

Idle curiosity on my part but how come you’ve ended up ‘living’ ? in the Moscow regionWill spend some time with my wife and little one. Will keep an eye on the other championship scores later. It’s january in Moscow region, so whatever the weather does, at least it’s dramatic and something to watch! It’s gone from -22 to +3 within 24 hours this week. Mental. Proper windy now, with sporadic sun teasing us through the clouds. Can’t even remember what non-winter conditions feel like.
Married to a Russian, in laws here and good work opportunities.Idle curiosity on my part but how come you’ve ended up ‘living’ ? in the Moscow region
You're just an irrelevant arse wipe who has no idea what goes into looking after a very elderly relative so that she has independence.97, living in her own place, well,
sighted? mobile? sociable?
‘I’ve got to go and make lunch’
’She has nothing to talk about’
’I’ve never really been that close to her’
’I lose every weekend’
Generally speaking, the western world is pretty shit at caring for it’s older generations.
You only get one mum Herts & she'll not be here forever. I love her Brett, don't get me wrong, I will miss her but I just wanted to be honest. Anyway, I'm off to go and see her now.You only get one mum Herts & she'll not be here forever. I miss mine every day.

She's not mobile, she can't be sociable because she can't hear very well and I haven't ever been close to her and I have my reasons for that and it is a common thing. She is never alone has company 7 days a week without fail and she would die if she went into a home as she hates the idea and is capable of living at home with the procedures we have put in place. I take her to every hospital, doctors appointments of which there are many and speak to her every night on the phone, which isn't easy for obvious reasons. Organise all her shopping, her financials, everything so you can take your comments and stick them where the sun don't shine you piece of shit.

Must say Graves I was intrigued by your postMarried to a Russian, in laws here and good work opportunities.
Me tooYou only get one mum Herts & she'll not be here forever. I miss mine every day.
WELL SAID!! It’s all consuming looking after someone who is 97 (and he’s constantly on my mind) but I promised my dad that I will always do so that he can remain in his own home where he wants to be. Wish I had some support from my sister but she’s completely ‘opted out.’You're just an irrelevant arse wipe who has no idea what goes into looking after a very elderly relative so that she has independence.

What's it like living in Moscow, do you speak Russian and what do you do ?
Distant relative worked for ICI in 60 and 70's and worked in the old USSR a lot since great stories
I would imagine Russian is an extremely difficult language to learn. How the heck do you cope with temperatures of -22!Interesting stuff. I’m also from Bispham btw.
Yes, I do speak Russian. Always wanted to learn it and the history and culture here fascinated me. I’m teaching in a Russian school out here mate. USSR is certainly interesting to learn about. Would recommend Russia to anyone to visit.
