Sky are saying that he is getting a 35 day suspension from the HoC. If true, that will pave the way for a recall petition and ultimately, a possible bye-election.
He's a Spurs fan.Looks like he’s a goona
I have read allegations that what he offered could be considered insider trading? Anyone got any more detail? All though it will probably cost him his seat, 35 days sounds like quite a light punishment in principle considering what he was actually admitting to, and accusing others of ??
“Kids in a sweetie shop”I’m quite sure many others do this, he just stupidly got caught.
Would it be seen as a safe seat? Looking round the place, you don't see much evidence of 14 years huge investment from this lot?Wonder if Farage will throw his hat in for Blackpool South?
We’ve had lots of empty promises though Wiz if that countsWould it be seen as a safe seat? Looking round the place, you don't see much evidence of 14 years huge investment from this lot?
I thought the same on reading it.All though it will probably cost him his seat, 35 days sounds like quite a light punishment in principle considering what he was actually admitting to, and accusing others of ??
He was suspended from The Tory party a while ago. The investigation has taken place and this is the result. It is now up to Parliament to vote on the punishment or not.I assume this has already been proven, if so why isn’t he just thrown out of Parliament and stripped of all his ministerial privileges? Or, is the suspension to allow time for an investigation to confirm everything?
What will be interesting is that he has already stated that parliament is corrupt (which we know) so if he was thrown out then there is every chance he will reveal all so that is why it won’t happen because he could expose people and ruin their careers.
Which in turn simply epitomises the corruption
Parliament (including the House of Lords) really does need a thorough independent investigation and a massive shake up but sadly that will never happen.
That'll get those votes. We’ve had lots of empty promises though Wiz if that counts
It will still be the existing boundary surely, otherwise you will be in two constituencies at the same time.Because of the boundary changes I get a vote in a by-election or do they go off 2019 residents.
Labour will win it quite easily.Would it be seen as a safe seat? Looking round the place, you don't see much evidence of 14 years huge investment from this lot?
Why has he not been thrown out? Because they are in the same club. The look after yourself club. Don't question why? Everyone knows why, only the naive people question why. On this OT page there's a thread about Michelle Mone and why did she get 100 of millions in PPE contracts. Because she and the decision maker benefit personally. Another thread about CV enquiry, again questioning former PM Johnson. He and his closest in office benefited. Another about COP28 and why are these world leaders having a luxury trip to Dubai to talk about saving the earth. Whybecause they keep together to cream off for themselves. It's so obvious. Moaning does nothing. The best way literally is ignore them and their BS. Buy a petrol car. Ignore the propaganda from news channels.I assume this has already been proven, if so why isn’t he just thrown out of Parliament and stripped of all his ministerial privileges? Or, is the suspension to allow time for an investigation to confirm everything?

Not sure.It will still be the existing boundary surely, otherwise you will be in two constituencies at the same time.
New boundaries come in during the General election?
He can't be thrown out of parliament for a few reasons:I assume this has already been proven, if so why isn’t he just thrown out of Parliament and stripped of all his ministerial privileges? Or, is the suspension to allow time for an investigation to confirm everything?

Does that make it ok though? My view is they should be going after the others, not just accepting it’s widespread and shrugging their shoulders. There are way too may politicians in it for what they can get out of it for themselves. They have to find ways of stopping it, it’s the only way we’ll get politicians who work for the benefit of the country and its populationI’m quite sure many others do this, he just stupidly got caught.

How much would we need to pay them to stop them from being corrupt. For some it’s never enoughPay them more?
The expenses scandal proved thatHow much would we need to pay them to stop them from being corrupt. For some it’s never enough
What a tw**
The pandemic gave them a licence to print money, and they took full advantage through the fast track procurement.I was thinking about the data on this, and I love Excel, so....
