Season ticket sales thus far

Na, they all would have renewed anyway at the higher price, according to a source on here.
Or they may have just paid on the day earning the club more money

Who fcuking knows

I'm liking your posts btw, maybe you should join the BST committee 😉

Possibly, I've done that myself for a season a few years back.

Haha, probably not my scene, would they not have a position for a chap like you there? 😏

Provided?

I've provided a seies of potential issues and raised a number of questions, which your policy of "Giving everything away to everyone for as long as possible" has (as yet) failed to address.

I haven't invented anything... I've just made stuff up to suit like you do.

I haven't ignored the numbers, I've just explained to you that they don't back up your assertions.

I don't give a shit about other Clubs, although loook at what has happened to Bradford... A club stuck in an endless cycle of having loads of fans who a) don't actually bother to turn up to games b) place no value on the product and c) cost the club a ** fortune

You would give it away for fuck all as your only objective is to win an argument with Preston Fans about who's got the biggest cock.

I'm fine with whatever the Club chooses to do, but I'm pretty sure I said that I felt that Matchday Prices were probably just moderately on the high side. Quite different to ST's though, which are great value at the full price and even cheaper if you're not an idiot
"I've provided a seies of potential issues and raised a number of questions"

Jeez, it's a debate about extending a deadline, you make it sound like a huge issue 🙄

I haven't made up the fact that it'll help some though have I.

No one is suggesting to go like Bradford.

There you go again with that false suggestion that I'd 'give it all away', no I wouldn't. But I'd try and build the fanbase and sometimes getting people in through the door is a long term strategy. Especially with what we've suffered and the hit to the fanbase over the years.

No, rivalry is massive but I want BFC to be all it can be regardless as it benefits us. Bragging and banter is all fun to me....

I've made my points, some agree some don't, some can see the benefit some can't.

All I have said is I'd make it as easy as possible, yet you keep trying to paint me as something I'm not. 🙄

I've made it sound like a huge issue?.... Look at the song and dance you've made about it all.... I've pretty much said that you should just let them get on with it and stop getting your knickers in a twist about minor stuff... as I've said, it makes no difference either way (their are some small potential benefits and some small potential negatives - i expect they even each other out, so it's pointless making changes)

Of course you've made it up... That's what you do.... Make stuff up and then you believe your own made up stuff is real.

I can't be arsed with the other stuff.... You're always droning on about free tickets this, cheaper prices that etc... You've got a Poundshop mentality... The way I see it Pundshop prices = Poundshop products... I'd rather pay for quality and moan about the product instead of the price point.

I've mentioned it because it's something that'll help.

Don't get why you're so against it.

How have I made up the picture from FB of a guy asking for the deadline to be extended because payday is the day after, or the people having tech issues you previously claimed were over straight away and are actually still going on.

I must be a puppetmaster making other people say the things I'm arguing. 🙄

So you're making it up.

No I've got a reasonable fan opinion of being well prices for the area, to build a fanbase and help people attend. Most people can see there's more we can do.

People were claiming price wasn't a big factor until recently.

The free tickets in unused seats bit was just that, using it where we can to try and get people hooked, many clubs do it and we do too.

You presume it would help, but as I've said, it also has the potential to harm. The policy doesn't have enough value to make a change worthwhile and if it does, then the Club will do it.

I'm not against it, I just don't see any point in making such a song and dance about something which (in the grand scheme of things) makes absolutely no worthwhile difference whatsoever.

Why don't you send the guy a message on Facebook letting him know the ticket office phone number together with an instructional video of how to dial the number on his phone.... 👍

The only way we'll find out is of we get a time machine. As if we sis extend and let's say we get to 8k tommorow. We then get to 8.5k after extension, you'd argue they would anyway, but in all likelihood they wouldn't.

I dont see any real harm for this one off.

The guy on fb said about the payday being after the deadline for him and many, so I don't see why giving him a number helps, unless it's samaritans maybe....

I think the club have misread the room on this one. For many pay day is at the middle of the month - May/June is usually taken up with holiday expenses (it is in my case) and so therefore July's pay packet is a good one for a season ticket. Cutting off the deadline when they have is a nonsense and it should have been the 17th July. I appreciate the season starts earlier but that discount might have persuaded a few more who now think they'll go game by game instead.

My pay day is usually on around the 19th of the Month, so it would be better to have been maybe 21st or 22nd July just to be safe... And then there's loads who don't get paid until the end of July, so probably better to just extend it to 1st August, but then some don't get paid until 1st of Month so maybe extend it to 2nd of August, but August is a Month where lots of people go on Holiday and they don't get paid until the middle of the Month, so we should probably extend it until 17th August, but what about those who get paid at the end of August, so we should probably extend it until 31st August, but then we need to think about those who get paid on the 1st of the Month, so we'd probably be best to extend it until 3rd of September, but September costs a lot of money for parents who have to buy school clothes, so how about we just extend until 18th of September...........

Some pretty random decisions on what would be a realistic cut off date for early bird on here.
As far as I am concerned the date was known well in advance and people had the opportunity to budget for it.
Deadlines are meant to be deadlines, not a floating day at the whim of AVFTT posters.

Today is the day, no extension, so I imagine the ticket office is very busy as well as online renewals. We’ll see tomorrow how many didn’t renew, that’s if it’s updated by then.

Probably not.

I renewed by phone an hour ago, when I called I was 22nd in the queue.

One would assume that at least 95% of those callers were doing the same thing, and also maybe assume that call levels would be fairly consistent throughout the day? So maybe a few hundred today, all in?

Could of been Phil on multiple phones trying to ask SS why he doesn’t match his ambitions for the club ?

Isn't there a special line for that? Phone's coloured red and only accessible through a lifting portal in the desk. Creates a big warning light in the sky.

Is the deadline not something to do with the end of the financial year being June 30

I don’t know but if the extended the early bird til mid July then there would be a rush to buy in last two weeks which would go into the following financial year i suppose

I dunno but this may be the rationale behind it

Got mine.

I wasn't going to get it yet, but hadn't realised they wanted an extra £40 from tomorrow. I was happy to give £30 to help the club and grasp the moral uber fan high ground, but 40 is piss taking.

Every year since 1887, the debate has been around prices being too dear.

Yet our ST sales at this point are matching those of last year.

I suggest the people making the key decisions will have thoroughly analysed the price points in the knowledge of the data available and picked one that they feel the vast majority are happy to pay.

We're all guessing.

JJ how many dots do you think are going to appear once updated…1k maybe more than at the moment ?
There was probably nearly 9500 unavailable seats, with some unknown amounts to take off.

But if we say sold 8k ST you might expect 1k+ not to have not renewed maybe.

Which is why I wanted an extension if we did have a high amount who didn't renew.

All depends today, no way of knowing really.

Hopefully it's been a really good day.

It's back on now 🤔 must say it looks a bit disappointing looking at it like that.

North stand has lots of spaces now, it'll be full eventually for games but its not great all those not renewing IMO.

Maybe a lot going on tickets instead... hope doesn't affect the atmosphere, want it to improve....

The North seemed to be lots of Muckers - not traditionally regular BFC fans making a point after NAPM - wonder if now they’ve made their point they’re off again!

We're really surprised with the number of vacant seats, especially in the north.
As exiles, we've bought memberships to take our toddler grandson to 3 or 4 games again. He doesn't yet understand the football, but he loves the atmosphere and the noise created by the north & is asking when we're next going. He'll be gutted if it's not bouncing, so we hope it's just a matter of many fans buying their tickets late - especially our renowned Muckers, who last season were the envy of the Championship. 🧡

Probably normal, Blackburn had similar, there's a mixture of some moving, some not renewing, the 150 kids seats maybe plus peoples change of circumstances.

Na I think the muckers are Blackpool fans.

It'll still be bouncing I'm sure.

Possibly, I've done that myself for a season a few years back.

Not being funny, but I'd trust the like of Phil, you (and me:), lol perhaps) to talk with the club about ST pricing come next January. We'd revolutionise the way they think.

Plenty of spaces in the North Stand

Already gone down a lot since athers pics yesterday in b block and others.

Someone must have moved....
Our seats were in the family stand. Not a popular part of the ground at all, regular empty seats around us. It's not impossible a group have jumped into our seats, but I doubt it.

Hes taken a screenshot of the map, have a look, the north has already gone down since yesterday as people scramble to be in it who want to be. It's right.

Club site says:

"The Club would like to thank everyone who has purchased a season ticket for their outstanding support, having already surpassed last season's total."

More than last season then? With a month til the season starts?

Yep and last seasons 8k in the end, likely to include part ST's too, you would think?
