Season ticket sales thus far

Also seen quite a few say first time ST holders, also some that were getting a ST due to the matchday price, so went for ST because of that.

I guess all we can do is wait for news, the planner has more unavailable seats than ever, just depends if people largely renew.

We keep using “ deprived area”as an excuse.
Surely towns like Blackburn, Burnley, Bradford, Rotherham etc have similar problems too
I know they look tattier but . . .

Eight of the 10 most deprived neighbourhoods in England are in Blackpool, according to new statistics.

41.5% of all neighbourhoods in Blackpool are classed as 'Highly Deprived'

Lowest average wages, highest teenage pregnancies, lowest life expectancy, most drug and alcohol related deaths . . .

And so on and so forth. Blackpool seemingly is a 💩 hole. 🤷

A lot of it is other towns dossers from England, so not likely to support us anyway.

Let's be honest as well, it's hardly surprising a town with a big Scottish contingent has some of the similarly bad issues as they have up there too.

We've sold nearly 7,000 season tickets, plus corporate for the full season is sold out, apart from two boxes being held back for sale on a match to match basis.

From another thread, yesterday afternoon, not sure where this info is from or if accurate, would hope a lot are leaving it late and waiting for the payday.

Also we need that early bird extension given the not ideal disruption and tech issues.

Hopefully the club don't need telling but if they do read this it makes sense to extend whe its nearly up, no harm to be done to extend by a few days or a week or whatever. It'll only help people more and give people more time given the issues this summer plus guarantee they get that extra pay day included.

Personally, I would keep the early bird option open until the Rangers friendly.

Bought ours yesterday. Took about 2 minutes via website, no problem at all.
Yep wasn't an issue for me, but many seemingly have had issues and doesn't appear to have been an ideal website launch, ST period or even summer with no manager for a lot of it.

Was the info from the ticket office? Any indication if there's many to renew who will be hanging on for today tommorow or whenever they got paid? Or even if the club will be willing to extend?

It does make sense given the issues.

We are on course to match last seasons numbers which isn't bad since apparently they are expensive according to some.

Would like to beat it given it seems quite a few new people have bought, its all about the existing largely renewing.

An extension would help as some so get paid 1st of the month or after. Can only help some.

ain’t bad i’d say it’s bloody great - if indeed we do match last seasons total.
Yeah but it's the minimum for me, clubs moto on the badge is progress.

With the young adult price and no covid worries now I want to see us grow.

Just need the majority to renew and we should, based off the unavailable seats.

I
I think we’ll be around the 6,500 mark. Down around 1,000 on last season.

Can blame many factors:

The price of living and football being a luxury
No payment plan EVERYONE can use, £369 a lot to go out in one chunk & Blackpool is a pretty deprived area
Fans discontent at rivals priced. They see Deepdale being £90 cheaper and feel hard done by. The fact is preston can afford to have cheap season tickets as their ground is too big for them and any lost revenue will be made up on match day revenue. Very clever marketing from
Ridsdale and co that should be applauded not mocked.

I’d extend it until the end of the season. I got mine opening day. I’m mad keen. Would be a shame if we lost the momentum from last season
I'm eternally grateful I dont have to go to Deepdale regularly. Well worth £90.

Sarah 'from the club shop' told me this monday that we had sold almost 7,000 season tickets, and Laura, deals with corporate, told my mate how well we have done with corporate sales.

Do you think? It’s just you’ve only mentioned it about 1000 times, no offence but you are like a broken record? 🤣
People have had months/years to plan/buy a season ticket, if finances are so bad they need an extra pay day to save £40…..then personally I think they should be spending it on more important things like bills/food. Just saying😁

Yep and I'll keep on highlighting what I believe will help. We’ve enough of the I'm alright Jacks on here. See Phil thread posted a few examples of why we should extend if it helps some people, not me I'm already done.

Not bad at all. Will probably be around 8,500.
I'd be happy with that given the price, bad end to the season and bad summer, plus tech issues.

However could be better if we'd have generated some hype with signing(s) and if we extended a bit.

Let's remember, we've had a disrupted summer, but have still sold more than the nobbers did last season, only 7.2k I think it was. That's them being an established championship club and having under 11s free anywhere. They've done better this season but at a much reduced price.

Where's the nobber on here who said it was just a first season bounce and we'd fall back down in numbers?

As said I do hope we extend a little for those who are paid tommorow or on the 1st and may have tech issues that are still happening.

We’d have no doubt sold 100,000 if there hadn’t been all these technical issues.

How many extra did Rovers Sell in the Great Big Blackburn Extension of Glory?
Looks live they've extended it a few times tbh, initially I think we're in line with the nobbers date.

So it's been extended from early June to level with ours.

Based on that post starting mid month, seems a fair few bought in that time.

They are just fan estimates based on counts and increases, but that would be pretty good numbers to go up by.

So basically it’s achieved fuck all….They’ve likely given a few hundred tickets away cheaper than they needed to.

😂

They didn't get that many last year either, more a reflection of the club and unrest that seems to be there at times, plus higher prices.

It would be much lower without that extension, so it has achieved an increase on where they were.

Same would happen for us. Given the new ST holders and young adult price and well over 9k seats unavailable on the planner, seems a fair few are yet to renew.

Maybe a big day tomorrow.

Looking at that the 'extension hasn't made any difference at all'... They'd have sold that many tickets at the higher price in any case... It's just lost them revenue.

Stupid Policy, but I suppose that's the price you pay for constantly changing your deadlines..... Eventually nobody actually takes them seriously any more.

Maybe the same people would still renew at the higher price, but that doesn't seem to happen anywhere, sales seem to slow massively.

You asked how much its gone up, I showed you their estimates, about 600 in half of their extension, the rest is speculation as to whether they would anyway.

I think our circumstances warrant a small extension to Monday maybe, doesn't sound it'll happen based off the statement but you also would say that and only announce at the end of it. But I can't see them doing it I'll be pleasantly surprised if they do.

It will help some and give a few time who are trying to renew now but can't online, as we have seen on here. Last season after the deadline we seemed to trickle up and the total probably includes half ST people too.

So I don't think there's a lot to lose personally.

Have you got an example of a club who didn’t extend the deadline, so that we can do a comparison please… We need to be scientific 👍

No and you know that, maybe you can do some research....

But its clear you're against the idea and no amount of facts will turn you, I gave you Blackburn numbers then you said well they'd renew anyway.

I've shown you people saying it should be extended as they get paid day after, plus people who have had issues with the site etc.

For me that's enough to extend.

I can't be arsed, because I know you're talking complete made up bollocks.

You've not provided any facts, just more of the usual shyte.

You should leave the business to people who know what they're doing... Crikey any business with you at the helm wouldn't last 6 Months 🤣 Yo.ve only got one idea, which is basically to give your product away for fuck all, in the hope that your total lack of commercial acumen is made up for by simply dropping your pants.

What have you provided?

You're the one inventing the fact that suddenly the people who bought for Blackburn magically would have anyway based on fuck all evidence.

You wanted the numbers, got them then decided to ignore that and carry on.

Many clubs have gone through lower price route and are at times more accommodating to their fans and have been absolutely fine, so again talking shite there.

How would I give it away for fuck all?

I bet when dropping the on the day price was debated you were all over that, oh no we can't do that that terrible business sense, then they do it, quiet as a mouse.

Provided?

I've provided a seies of potential issues and raised a number of questions, which your policy of "Giving everything away to everyone for as long as possible" has (as yet) failed to address.

I haven't invented anything... I've just made stuff up to suit like you do.

I haven't ignored the numbers, I've just explained to you that they don't back up your assertions.

I don't give a shit about other Clubs, although loook at what has happened to Bradford... A club stuck in an endless cycle of having loads of fans who a) don't actually bother to turn up to games b) place no value on the product and c) cost the club a ** fortune

You would give it away for fuck all as your only objective is to win an argument with Preston Fans about who's got the biggest cock.

I'm fine with whatever the Club chooses to do, but I'm pretty sure I said that I felt that Matchday Prices were probably just moderately on the high side. Quite different to ST's though, which are great value at the full price and even cheaper if you're not an idiot
