Will the world Cup have an impact on season ticket sales. With the suspension of the league for 5/6 weeks it will mean a lot more mid week games. Will this impact on supporters travelling large distances mid week and work commitments etc. Just a thought.

Does this mean we play on the 12th Nov? If so that's only 3 Saturdays.

Season start (regular season)

30 July, 2022

Championship pause

12 November, 2022

Championship resumption

10 December, 2022

Final day (regular season)

6 May, 2023

Forgot it starts sooner this year. Think it will be 4 saturdays and then midweek games missed during that 4 weeks. Still coukd mean possibly 6 extra midweek games to be played.

Looks like it's just the 3 Saturdays so with the early start it would mean 2 extra midweeks. Could be worse.

"Match round 16 in the Championship, set to take place on Saturday, November 12, will be the final round of fixtures played ahead of the call-up period for the tournament, which begins on Monday, November 14,” read an EFL statement.

“The Championship will resume on December 10 2022 following the culmination of the World Cup group stages, whilst League One and League Two fixtures will continue as normal.”

Preston first game of the season in the summer sun would be mega.
