Hope 'Pool are a bit more threatening up top than they were at Forest. No reason at all why we can't get a positive result with more quality and attacking intent. Billy Sharp usually scores against us, so I take him to do it again. My head says a draw but my heart says a win.
2-1 to 'Pool
 
Utd 1 - 3 Pool, Yates and Madine to score, if critch goes for the 2 up top again. Will be a tough game but I think pool will score 1 in the first half and 2 in the second - the team can keep on improving!

If Kenny and Stewart both out Critchley is hinting he will start Callum Connolly in midfield alongside Wintle . Not sure I really fancy that .

I'd also like to see Carey back in from the start, and a bit of Dale action too. Dujon too, perhaps.

If Critch has faith he can play Connolly there, it is good enough for me.
I think Dougall will be fit however and would be preferred choice.

Agreed
Think Gaz will play for 70 mins mainly due to his Sheffield connections and Carey will replace him.
We have one hell of a strong squad and no one is under the illusion that they are undroppable.

(Which means they'll miss the next 3 games at least, Sheff, Stoke and QPR)
 
I've just been on their forum. Quite a lot of negativity about their defence, one or two saying they'll need to score 3 to beat us.
That's encouraging, so I'm going for us to win.
They're about 4/6 on Betfair exchange, which is a clear lay in my eyes 🧡
 
I don't normally think this but they have had a week off so if everyone is fit go with the same 11 that started against Preston.
We will be resting and rotating players next week because of the midweek game so go with the ones that battered preston.
 
They've been inconsistent but there have been signs of them turning it around and they have some real quality in their squad and big crowds behind them, it will be tough but we're a good side and we can compete with anyone in this league.

Would be happy with Madine and Yates, would be happy with Carey off Yates.

Obviously would prefer Kenny to be fit but Connolly looks like a good footballer and has plenty of Championship experience so I wouldn't be too worried if he has to start in midfield.

BTTS to score a banker tomorrow I'd like to think. 2-2 Madine and Yates, Sharp no doubt for them. Absolutely no reason why we aren't capable of going there and winning though.

I have had a look at their message board, seems like they are a bunch of pussys with no physical presence, play a bit tippy tappy, got multimillion pound McBurnie up front who is shit if you give him space and time!!
So all things considered I'm going blade's 2 Blackpool 0.

I'm not sure on this one. On the one hand, having watched their strike-force in the PL many times over the last few years i'm not that scared of McBurnie and Mcgoldrick, i've never seen a player miss more one on ones than Mcgoldrick and Billy Sharp is about 40, though he can still throw himself about. Mousset looks like the kind of player who can pull out a moment of magic, though I think he went off in their last game. We, on the other hand look bloody brilliant and I love this team and squad and manager and I cannot doubt them at this point. I've talked myself into a 2-1 win for the pool. Bowler and Jerry.

Another tough game but that is what this league is all about, I'd be quite happy to take a point now to be honest. That said, I thought the same about the Reading game, so who knows?

Funnily enough I texted a lad I go walking with who is a Sheffield United season ticket holder and that is virtually word for word what he said
 
Looking forward today. Should be a good atmosphere with a more than decent ‘Pool following and maybe 27k crowd
 
I think it's writing on the wall for a loss today to be honest. And I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world. Such a high after Preston and Reading.
 
I'm not sure what to expect today tbh. Don't know how Sheff will perform. Lost their last home game to Millwall 1-2. I'd like to see us go back to the 4231 that worked so well at Reading, but Critch may well have other ideas!
 
Just paid my tenner - think we'll get turned over today - 2 nil.

Then again, I'm not there, and I've only seen us get a point so far out of 3 away games.
