No because he was a free agent signing.Have Everton a sell on clause.
If so it must be a decent percentage of transfer fee.

We'd have to spend that to replace his quality and that's not guaranteed. 10 million or piss off ForestJohnson is not worth 18 Million its what forest want for him good luck with that
Bowler 1.5 to 2 mill
Only if his agent will allow him to sign a new contract. He may not be worth anymore in the Summer if this does not happen. The question for me is how much can BFC afford to lose by selling him now? OK may get 1-1.5m now, but potentially 4/5+m in the summer.
Take the money from Mitchells wages and give them to Bowler. Same with Howe's, Sarkic's... Get him tied down if it's possible.
It's a good point about the summer, but I don't think we'll lose by that, especially if JB progresses over the rest of the season.Only if his agent will allow him to sign a new contract. He may not be worth anymore in the Summer if this does not happen.
The problem is if he doesn’t agree a new contract summer would be the only transfer window we could get a half decent fee.The question for me is how much can BFC afford to lose by selling him now? OK may get 1-1.5m now, but potentially 4/5+m in the summer.

Not many clubs have anybody like Bowler in their squad, there aren't many about like him, maybe something to do with modern coaching methods. A rare commodity usually costs more and he would be close to impossible to replace so it would have to be a few million to be worth us selling him.I’ll go for £4,000,000 I wouldn’t sell him for anything less either. He drifts past players like there not even there. More often than not her has 2/3/4 opposing players around him. People that moan about his final ball…..he ain’t going to be at Blackpool if he was the finished article!!!! We don’t have any players like him in the squad and would be nuts to sell to anything other than a outrageous bid. He is very very exciting and I’d happily pay money just to watch him
There’s no way he’s worth 4 million really but this season he is to usHeard someone behind us saying about if Johnson is worth 18 million then Boweler must be worth a lot more than is being mentioned.
Which is exactly what we've said before.
So how much is he worth.
To me its 4-5m.
Hea a stand out championship player improving all the time.
4 Million would get us 3 or 4 players and Critch gets scope to find a replacement. At one point against Millwall, they had four players surrounding him, such is the attention that other teams need to give him. We would be less of an attacking force without him, and let's be honest we don't score a shed load as it is.
Someone mentioned that we were holding out for £4m for him and I think that's reasonable tbh. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't sell him even for that because with him in the side, a bit of luck with injuries and a couple of astute additions and this squad really could do something imo. However, if we were to sell for £4m, think what Critchley and the scouting team could do with that considering what they've managed to do with a fraction of it.
I also think our hand is strengthened purely by the fact he hasn't expressed a desire to leave, or handed in a transfer request. How refreshing that good players want to play for us these days.
Depends if he was offered a new contract and decided to leave to get first team football. He's under 23 so if he did reject a new deal they might be due a cut.No because he was a free agent signing.
Agree but everything is relative. The point is if someone were to pay daft money for Johnson i e 18 million, what would a similar daft value be for Bowler? I would have to say 5 Mill.Johnson is not worth 18 Million its what forest want for him good luck with that
Bowler 1.5 to 2 mill
Brentford are rumoured to have already offered at least £12.5m for Johnson and Forest are holding out for more. On that basis Bowler must be worth £3m to £4mJohnson is not worth 18 Million its what forest want for him good luck with that
Bowler 1.5 to 2 mill
I don't think that's how it works. They'd get a cut at the point of signing for us. They can't enforce us to add a 10% signing fee if he's a free agent. Everton won't receive a penny.Depends if he was offered a new contract and decided to leave to get first team football. He's under 23 so if he did reject a new deal they might be due a cut.
Just had a look and found an article saying he was never offered a new deal so you are right, they won't get anything.I don't think that's how it works. They'd get a cut at the point of signing for us. They can't enforce us to add a 10% signing fee if he's a free agent. Everton won't receive a penny.
What's against us is a contract length of 18 months, assuming we apply the extension. At one point against Millwall, they had four players surrounding him, such is the attention that other teams need to give him. We would be less of an attacking force without him, and let's be honest we don't score a shed load as it is.

And the rest!Brentford are rumoured to have already offered at least £12.5m for Johnson and Forest are holding out for more. On that basis Bowler must be worth £3m to £4m
Which means Bowler pursuit unsuccessful? Maybe if they stumped up a decent portion of what they'd get....
