So... would you keep or sell Bowler?

Definitely keep
do pool need to sell , probably not , offer him a bigger contract like pool did to Yates 🤷
can pool match wages forest going to offer , probably can

If we are talking 2-3 million then definitely no. Thats chicken feed in this league for the likes of Forest. Compare that with the value they would put on Brennan Johnson and he has played half a season in this league.

It’s not as simple as saying buy or sell though is it. We need to know the offer to make a decision.

Under the Oystons this would be a pay day for them. Under Sadler we have limited resources for this division and to sell high and buy low may be our way to progress as a club.

He has had a final ball the last 3 games he has found a man or put a good cross over far more often than anyone else around the box and only put in a odd bad one

How much is a young English winger - established first team player, going for in the Championship right now?

£5m plus

Keep. He's sometimes very frustrating but he's the only player we have who can take a defender on.

Our best player and main attacking threat. Keep all day long, unless its a silly money offer for a player whos out of contract at the end of the season

Their manager said in post-match conference that they prepared all week to handle Bowler and he still ran them ragged.

By far our best player from a technical point of view.

We shouldn`t even be talking about this .He`s our player and on his day is by far our most dangerous attacker and with experience will improve in both decision making and his final ball which is already getting better.

If we seriously have ambitions to move upwards and onwards then we must hold on to gems like Bowler they don`t come along very often. They are very hard to find and we need to hang on to any we can find.

Regardless of whether his end product needs improving or not, who was the last pool player we had that could get at defences like he can and cause all sorts of trouble? I've been watching pool since the early 80s and can only think of Sinclair and maybe Ince to some degree.

Yep no one else can do what he can do.

He's young, improving all the time. Needs more end product like a lot of our players actually.

He's almost unstoppable at times.

Bowler is an exciting ‘edge of your seat’ player, who gets most Championship defences backpedaling furiously. It’s great to watch. Yes his final ball is often found wanting but he’s by no means the finished article, probably why we still have him in all honesty. He’s only a young lad but my advice would be, stay here for a few years yet Josh where you’re loved and improve your game under Critch. 🍊UTMP

Definitely shades of Tricky Trev!

I would drive up the M1, collect him, drive down to Cardiff and deliver him, then drive home to Middx……all FOC. Please let this be true.
think some-one should drive down and back up the M1 and dump you at Deepdale as your knowledge of what is a decent footballer is akin to some-one of their fans low intelligence.

Once the so called bigger clubs realise we now have a new man in charge that won't have the piss taken out of him, then they might stop offering take the piss money.

Not popular I expect, but I’d sell if it was decent money and a step up for the player, and he wanted the move….simply because holding onto players after they have been refused a move generally doesn’t go well. He’d turn into a Tom Ince all big time and hands on waist without any graft.

I've not seen a player in tangerine for decades that can attract som many defenders around him. It's truly incredible at times, especially when he breaks free and gets a good pass off. The romanticist in me says he's another of the current group who have found their place here and love it. I do however appreciate that some grizzled cynic may be long in a minute to suggest head wobbling might be the order of the day.

I don't think it should be even up for discussion now particularly if it's another Championship club. If a EPL club comes sniffing then it's difficult to stand in a players' way. Let's consolidate this season, a point a game should see us comfortably safe, then look to add more quality signings in the next couple of windows.

Keep. But I’d interested to know what figures are being offered?
The Brannigan guy from Oxford supposed release clause is around £1.4m. He is a better than average league 1 player. I would say Bowler is a better than average Championship player.

Give your head a wobble you romantic old fool

What sort of a post is this!! I know let's place uncertainty on one off our best players and get interest from other teams. In believable. So lucky to have a player like Bowler. Long may he stay.
My post was more of a jab at those who were slating him just a few weeks ago.

I’d love him to stay, I think he’s absolutely brilliant. However if an offer comes in that we can’t refuse then what’s to say we can’t find another tricky winger? We’ve unearthed some absolute gems since Sadler and Critch have been here. I’m sure there’ll be a few more to come. If he does end up going I fully trust the process, but I 100% want him to stay.
