They'll come out with some shite about Scotland and Independence blah blah.I wonder how the Brexit D&G merchants will view this excellent news?
The Germans actually buying British vehicles God no surely it’s incorrect?

Well every time a British firm loses a contract it will be portrayed its because were no longer in Europe. Is this how it is going to be? Every single time a British company gets a contract it will be because of Brexit rather than them being good at what they do.
Meanwhile the Office for Budget Responsibility reports that Brexit will cause long term damage to the UK economy. It really is shouting about finding a 10p coin after throwing away a £20 note.

Yep every good news story will trump you utter doom-mongers with your ham sandwiches, Dutch bike parts or Women's Jump suits. Is this how it is going to be? Every single time a British company gets a contract it will be because of Brexit rather than them being good at what they do.

In the middle of a pandemic your figures ain't worth shit. They got the contract before Brexit, I think the argument that's trying to be made is "look we still trade with Europe". and they'll cherry pick stories. Meanwhile exports to Europe were down 30% in Q1 according to government trade statistics. Haven't heard that they've recovered but will be interesting to see the government statistics for Q2 in a couple months to see if they have.
But more importantly the contact was signed after we took the vote to leave the E U in 2016.They got the contract before Brexit, I think the argument that's trying to be made is "look we still trade with Europe". and they'll cherry pick stories. I'm not keen on Brexit but I'm not rabid anything, quite a lot of moderate Torys didnt want it either, it's not always a case of extremes.Well we’re. Constantly treated to a plethora of negativity at every turn from the rabid Left on here about Brexit so why not
So? My argument was that this is once again a celebration of things staying the same, not that Brexit should have deterred this trade, or that this deal happened because of Brexit (it didn’t). The only way you’d know if Brexit deterred or promoted trade on a large scale is looking at the statistics and not cherry picking deals that have or haven’t happened. Which brings me on to my next point...But more importantly the contact was signed after we took the vote to leave the E U in 2016.
Nice try.
Well you can bench mark them against last years when there was a lockdown (it’s still lower) also you can compare them to inbound trade which is yet to be effected as the UK hasn’t imposed most of it’s regulations yet - this has returned to normal. Yet exports haven’t. They may do in Q2, it remains to be seen.In the middle of a pandemic your figures ain't worth shit.
But the bus company could have easily cancelled the order and gone to a bus maker within the EU though but they didn’t.So? Sorry to piss on your bonfire. Alexander Dennis is actually a Canadian owned company. But the bus company could have easily cancelled the order and gone to a bus maker within the EU though but they didn’t.
You can bet had that happened the remoaners would have been out in force telling us all we’ve lost a multi million pound order because of Brexit.
Faith in the British manufacturing industry comes to mind here.
The Canadians bought the company out in 2019 no relevance to the argument at all,AD who have been building buses in the UK for over 100 years.Sorry to piss on your bonfire. Alexander Dennis is actually a Canadian owned company.
However, any contribution to reducing the Brexit deficit, which equates to circa 40 years payment into the EU, by the UK, will be gratefully accepted.
So there not going to be built in Britain by British workers?Sorry to piss on your bonfire. Alexander Dennis is actually a Canadian owned company.

I refer you to my second paragraph. So there not going to be built in Britain buy British workers?
Go away you fool your as dull as the other remoaners on here.
I refer you to the fact based headline of 198 buses being ordered by a German company.“
I refer you to my second paragraph.
That's absolutely brilliant. It's taken you 4 months to try to find a positive Brexit story and all you can come up with is an example of something that happened all the time during our EU membership?!!!I wonder how the Brexit D&G merchants will view this excellent news?
The Germans actually buying British vehicles God no surely it’s incorrect?
I hope BHOK doesn’t read this as he won’t be sleeping tonight that’s for sure.
The break up of the uk has Scottish independence finally happenedThat's absolutely brilliant. It's taken you 4 months to try to find a positive Brexit story and all you can come up with is an example of something that happened all the time during our EU membership?!!!
So it's all been worthwhile now, seeing the fishing industry devasted, the petrol bombs and break up of the UK and massive economic damage - it all pales into insignificance now we have a bus contract with Berlin. Whoopee!!!
Your out of touch these days BHOK ive posted/commented on 4 or 5 positive Brexit threads in the last 4 months pity you haven't reacted to the others. That's absolutely brilliant. I never claimed it wasn't good news.I refer you to the fact based headline of 198 buses being ordered by a German company.
If you don’t think it’s good news just come out and say so no need to go round the houses.
But you couldn't help yourself having a dig even mentioning the new owners you just want us to fail.I never claimed it wasn't good news.
I'm sure it will help the church steeple fund reach its target of £100 billion +
Rest assured Giro and one or two others on here would have been the first to comment on a thread had they lost that order claiming it was over Brexit that’s for sure. But you couldn't help yourself having a dig even mentioning the new owners you just want us to fail.
Oh and German exports are down to the UK 30% it's called a global pandemic.
Must HAVE.When did the Uk break up ? Must of missed that one.
So the opening post wasn’t meant as a dig?But you couldn't help yourself having a dig even mentioning the new owners you just want us to fail.

Britain doesn’t build vehicles does it, companies do, just like the EU doesn’t manufacture vaccines, companies do!I wonder how the Brexit D&G merchants will view this excellent news?

What a weird way of looking at things.Britain doesn’t build vehicles does it, companies do, just like the EU doesn’t manufacture vaccines, companies do!
The design of this message board creates ping pong between users. I got bored of serving Brexit shots at you and never getting a decent return. Your latest effort is another sliced backhand that didn't make over the net.Your out of touch these days BHOK ive posted/commented on 4 or 5 positive Brexit threads in the last 4 months pity you haven't reacted to the others.
Only following the previous thoughts of some of your anti EU mates posts from previous threads! What a weird way of looking at things.
My anti EU mates are mature enough not to ruin a thread in honour of HRH Prince Philip I know that much.Only following the previous thoughts of some of your anti EU mates posts from previous threads!
