Because in the past he has offered so little in the way of goals and assists for a number 9 and he offers no pace to get in behind a defence.
However it appears that Appleton has found a way to get the best out of him and he has been good for the last month.
My worry is that he struggles in the midweek games after he has played on Saturday.
