Sadly Passed away - lived and breathed SSCC and will be missed by many. RIP Ivan
I played at South Shore at the same time periid. Ivan did the scorebook for the third team, lovely bloke without a bad bone in his bodyIvan was just a young lad when I played for SSCC in the late 70's & early 80's. I always looked forward to chatting to him on my return each season and he gave everyone a friendly welcome. RIP Ivan - SSCC won't be the same without him. Condolences to his family.
I didn’t know Ivan well but well enough to say hi to and have a few chats with over the years ( I’ve not lived in Pool for over 20 years so haven’t seen him for ages ) and yes he was slightly disabled and I believe he was told as a child he wouldn’t live much passed his early 20’s , I feel certain the life he had around SSCC and the friends he met there was a major factor in living so long - RIP Ivan - true legendThink I knew who he was. Was he slightly disabled? If so, he lived in the same cul de sac as me in South Shore in the 70's. RIP.
