so the gazette can be fined for this? https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/...le-speed-camera-locations-for-october-4239495Not to be boring but officially you can be fined for warning posts such as this.
Maybe point out something scenic close by and post a picture including the van.
Nope, if you search online the two are not the same. "In practice, police may take a considered view of the offence given that the rough locations of mobile speed cameras are often publicised in advance. Difficult to obstruct someone already hiding behind a bush or a bus shelter.Nope, if you search online the two are not the same. "In practice, police may take a considered view of the offence given that the rough locations of mobile speed cameras are often publicised in advance. "
Flashing lights or posting on social media can be classed as "in breach of section 89 of the Police Act 1997, designed to penalise anyone who "wilfully obstructs" a constable in the execution of his or her duty. " See above though.
That would odd for the councillors to say considering they don't get the money, it all goes to Central GovernmentThere is a pretence that it is helping to reduce people speeding but it is all about revenue. I have been in Council meetings where councillors have discussed reducing speed limits and putting in cameras just for the projected revenue.
These people calling for 20 mph speed limits know it’s almost impossible to drive any distance at that speed and cameras and fines will soon follow.
I am not sure that was true. When Staffordshire was infamous for its very high number of speed cams on A-roads in the 90s and 00s it was said they were funded by a large reduction in local M-way police patrols as there was a large net positive rise in council budget as a result. The police are funded through local council rates. Of course, that could all have changed, since Staffs cameras have decreased now. That would odd for the councillors to say considering they don't get the money, it all goes to Central Government
