Splitting the fan base yet again!

Sadler hired an external search firm to assist with this manager hire and they recommended NC.

Calm down, NC is a great appointment.

Any other manager who got a club promoted from L1 and then safely kept them up in the Champ would be at the top of our list.
He was a great appointment last time ,but this time he is possibly the worst. The fans have no trust in him ,the players have no trust in him . He has failed at two other clubs . His negative style is not entertaining and was overlooked because of his results and this time he will probably have less money to spend on replacing our better players who have gone or are going . A shocking appointment.

It's nothing like Appleton tbf, he'd never done anything for us.

NC got us promoted and kept us up, then left and didn't say goodbye, should have but ahh well.

He's no ex nobber, didn't ditch us for a local rival, he went for probably many times more wages and we all would do the same.
No ,we would have thanked the fans for their support at least.

Im sure these morons will get over this and support the club, is'nt that what football supporters do !
I think those people you are calling morons are supporting the club in their own way . By saying that they see impending doom from a failed manager and speaking their mind doesn't make them morons . In fact it is more likely that the people willing to part with £350 of their hard earned cash and just following the majority are more likely to fit the bill .

Fans have no trust in him? Really? You might not, but the majority do.

How do you know the players have no trust in him?

Why are you just making things up?

That depends… I suspect if your customers told you to relocate your business to Preston, you’d probably ignore them. It’s one thing dealing with genuine issues, but our fanbase are a bunch of whinging wannabes, who seem to think they know best about literally everything….

Like I say, Sadler needs to just ignore them and switch off to it all as it’s distracting him from focusing on the important stuff 👍
If a customer was talking or asking for something unrealistic then you would ignore them ,but if the majority of your custom are asking for something that is realistic and you do the opposite then your a fool .

First of all you read the notice boards and you can see fans have no trust in him and as your poll shows less then 40% would take him back as he still hasn't apologised and in respect to the players . You have a bloke who builds you up and says you have a great future in football [he purposely brought in younger players]and then walks out on them to work with better players, how would you feel . Even footballers must have feelings . So I am not making things up and even if the small percentage of fans that didn't want him back did not renew their tickets ,that's a big hole in income. If he does not start off with winning the first few games ,we will be worse off then with Appleton . So made things up or not ,a lot of Judas supporting Blackpool fans are going to look very silly.

Because 371 people voted in an online poll you have decided the majority agree with this appointment ? I personally don’t know anyone who is happy with it and doubt any of them voted . People suggesting that this appointment isn’t divisive are living in cloud cuckoo land .

A sample size of 400~ people is very decent, he's apologized so those people who picked option B are on board now making the percentage close to 75%.

I'm sure if another poll was put up it'd be the majority too as most of the people commenting on him are very positive, just a loud minority of negative people like yourself who are completely overreacting.

I'm sorry you live in a bubble and are not seeing that the majority of comments online are very positive, a few qualms here and there but the majority of comments I've seen from people have been positive.

Haha . I assure you I don’t live in a bubble and don’t rely purely on social media to form an opinion.

Maybe I am overreacting ,but it won't be the same as last time and if he doesn't win the majority of his first 6 games then the shit will hit the fan and it didn't have to be like this.

Please don’t presume to speak on behalf of others!! You may have no faith in him (though frankly who cares) but based on the comments on this forum and other social media, it seems that plenty of fans are very happy with this appointment.

I see no reason whatsoever why the players wouldn’t be thrilled as well. They shared success and a great relationship with NC.

We don’t need negative nellies like you ruining our great club with your glass half empty mindsets 👎

Deary me all of that is utter nonsense.all this because somebody didn’t say a thank you.get a life man.

Oh it’s split alright, I’ve had messages from 4 different Pool supporters tonight, none of them post on here and I was certain they’d be happy with the news but all 4 are fuming and don’t want him back.

That is my main concern, Sadler who I still think hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing could have chosen someone that all supporters would get behind but yet again he has chosen someone who is going to be disliked by a fair proportion of the support, even if it’s only 20% that wil cause some damage and if he starts badly he isn’t going to have much leeway before 20 becomes 40 and so on.

He was t my first choice Wellens or Dobbie were but I will support Quitchley, I’m certainly not one of the 20%. Ut I think Sadler has misread the room again and if it goes wrong or he doesn’t support him then supporters will turn on him.

Let’s hope we don’t come to that but don’t dismiss it just because you can’t comprehend t and why this pathetic vitriol towards fellow supporters who have a different opinion to you.
It's nothing like the Appleton appointment.

Disappointed in going back initially yes, people will get over the fact he didn't say goodbye.

Sadler does love going back though.

I was flabbergasted & dismayed when after all the positivity over a young hungry coach they thought Appleton was the answer, in spite of all that I gave him the benefit of the doubt for much longer than I should have. I'll do the same with Critchley. But I don't think Sadler knows what he's doing still.
He got a report, which said Critchley, what a report doesn't tell you is the feel of fans, which is why I wanted someone new or Dobbie. But it's NC, who was actually good, just left poorly.

Like I said, I don’t have a problem with him coming back although he wasn’t my first or second choice but I sill don’t trust Sadlers judgement, for me this season will tell us more about him, in a positive way hopefully. There is no reason why Critchley can’t get uss promoted again but he needs Sadler to back him.

Yep, presuming we weren't told not to release something.

But he didn't, if that his worst crime people need to get over themselves.

People treating it like an actual relationship, it's football.

Josh Bowler left for more money and was welcomed back, why wasn't he hated for going for more money when he could have stayed?

Yeah but those who hate him, I don’t get it.

I didn't want him I wanted someone new to build a feelgood factor, I also wanted cheaper ST so we could sell loads and a Dobbie appointment will have done that.

But I never hated him, he only left for far more money, happens in football.

Those people can only be upset he didn't say goodbye, as everything else he did was very good, can't argue with what he achieved.

The football was pragmatic at times but based on what we had available, he did want to play initially, so may again with better talent. But he played a way that allowed our squad to over achieve. Which given what we witnessed after he left shows the achievement.

As said above Josh Bowler left for way more money and came back and was loved still. It's not much different really.

Thrilled? You are on a wind up now surely? The guy presided over a disastrous exit from BFC, was blamed by Gerrard for his disastrous impact on the Villa players, presided over a disastrous spell at QPR and now we are supposed to be thrilled? Laughable. He could just as easily be another Grayson mark two spent force. Most will be ambivalent at best.

I said at the time he came back with his tail between his one dimensional legs unfit & I got pelters for saying that from some, a good bit of business offloading him, as he'd been found out I believe. I hope he broadens his game & is successful wherever he ends up this season.
Anyway on Critchley II I've slept on it & I can see the logic behind his re-appointment, but I still don't feel like jumping for joy, I could also see some logic in getting McCarthy after he turned things round a few times in his career, what I didn't realise at the time was how unprepared & intransigent he was & his hoofball style. So if Critchley II can recreate the better things he did previously I dare say he will grow on me (jury's out on that ATM) As for the coming season I don't have a clue how we'll fare & I suppose it will depend on who is brought in & who we can keep.

So you can speak for others by saying "it seems that plenty of fans are happy with this appointment" yet I am not allowed to say they are not. Hypocrite. I will say what I want its a forum .

I was on the Dobbie train for last season, this one too but he also doesn't have the experience of getting a club up, not just any club, our club, so I can see why NC would be favourable.

Appleton last summer and now Quitchley. Regardless of which side you sit on the fence it ain't good when supporters are already divided!
Not now I suggest, time to get behind the manager and a promotion push. I was in favour of giving Dobbie a go, but the decision has now been made and I'm a supporter of the club and I aim to carry on doing just that.

Having listened to Brett and others on Lancs and the SS/NC interview on TTV, I am satisfied that a proper search was done and we have ended up with the right man.

He certainly had the players on board & pretty much made all the right tactical decisions at the right moments, he certainly made the right noises too. I think we’ve made a mistake again in not giving him the opportunity. So we’ve got the deserter back with his tail somewhat between his legs. I’ll still be going of course & I hope I’m proven wrong about reappointing Critchley II.

Get a grip you dinosaur 😏 I'd like Dobbie involved but not just shoehorned in.

Also if we lose a few games some will be chanting for Dobbie, not helpful.

Hypocrite!! You have slated me on a number of occasions in regard to my thoughts on Sadler, Mansford and McSaurus, and it was just my opinion. Talk about pot kettle!!

** dinosaur 🤬🤬🤬 we got rid of the last ones who should never have been resurrected in the first place. 😃

Critchley left , understandably , having been a success at Blackpool to try and further his career. The 'disaster' came from the failure to appoint a
suitable successor and poor player recruitement. As for his time at Villa , well Gerrard would say that wouldn't he. QPR were well on the slide when he arrived . Ainsworth fared no better , did you see QPR at BR? , and was saved basically by a flukey result at Burnley.
