Have already announced the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Usain Bolt.

Is this why we voted for Brexit? Foreigner coming along, taking our awards?

“ The award for UK’s most prolific user of work Internet to log onto a football message board goes to.... WIZAARD !”🤣😜

This year, there has to be an award for "Wheelchair Rugby"........we bitch slapped the French and won a world title..!!!

Even then the frogs tried to cheat......If we hadn't had Brexit, the frogs would introduce EU law 2456B (Part 3)......
"No EU country to win a disabled sport unless smelling of Gauloises, Garlic and called Jean-Pierre"

Understand the calls for both England T20 and our women footballers and Jessica Gadirova did us proud, but surely, Gareth and his squad should be in line to repeat coach and team of the year. We didn't have to rely on playing at home, or a penalty shoot-out after extra-time, plus we lulled everyone into a false sense of security at the Nations Cup, before beating the might of Iran, Wales and Senegal, then holding USA in Superbowl 22..............
Seriously, it would be no more of a surprise to me than was recognition for failure last year.

That's about right I'm afraid.

Ben Stokes should win but no doubt the womens footballer will win and the womens football will win team of the year unless any disabled teams managed to win something.

I'd be better not watching it and trying the Pride of Britain awards but I always end up turning it on.

In my youth, I considered the SPOTY programme to be the finest television of the year and used to look forward to it excitedly.

What the BBC have done to what was a British institution is criminal.

It’s the biggest wokefest on tv, presented by Lineker the chief woketard who wants us to believe he felt as if he was racially abused for having a sun tan.

I won’t be watching it, it’s a sports programme for people who dont like sport or have a very limited attention span.

Oh and there is no way that the BBC will give a team award to a team playing rugby league, disabled or not. That would be the case even if the England womens team hadn’t won the Euros or England hadn’t won the T20 World Cup.

There you go, I thought I would put in a moan about the BBC - it seems to be the done thing on this thread.

There will be a massive concentration on the sports the Beeb have the rights to, unsurprisingly.

The only part of this show I’ll regret not seeing, is the tribute paid to the sportspeople who died in the last 12 months. I always found that part of the show to be poignant, respectful and tastefully done.

I couldn't agree more Malced.

I tend to have forgotten those that we have lost or think to myself was that only during this year.

Now usually accompanied by an artist performing live, it has always been delivered tremendously and appropriately and still is to this day.

I thought SPOTY was on tonight but just reading it's not until Wednesday night.

Well if I couldn’t be arsed to watch the football on Sunday I most certainly not going to watch this crap programme and haven’t done for a long long time.
As said previously it’s a ( so called) sports programme for those with no real interest in sport and nothing better to do than watch tripe like this.
