ST Prices next season

When I first started going to matches with my Dad, he paid 5/- & 2/6 for me - both of us in for the equivalent of 37 1/2p - and we were watching Green, Suddick, Armfield et al.

If I’d paid only 37 1/2p today, I’d be wanting my money back….

Didn't always play well but they had star quality.

They went far too fast to the high prices we pay, we're not even an established championship club and many of them pay less than us.

Blackpool isn't wealthy.

I get that if we want to compete we have to make as much as possible so we can be as competitive, but we haven't got the balance right.

They weren't able to sort a payment plan despite others being able to.

30 is way too high on the match ticket price.

Going forward this is the most important thread I’ve read for weeks.

Same price, same goalkeeper I’m out.

First time watching Pool in 52 years that I’ve left at half time.

Disgraceful.
I won’t be paying £380 for league one either so that will be four of us out
Guess we will just have to wait and see what price they sell them at

In order to retain as many ST holders as possible in L1, the price surely has to be reduced.

It's a lower standard of product/service therefore the charges should logically be lower.

As Michelle's post demonstrates perfectly, over pricing will very quickly and significantly reduce the core / ST fans.

Better to have say 6000 fans at £300 than 4000 at £350. I fear many might not renew due to our relegation anyway

The greatly reduced revenue should see a cut in overhead. We could start with an ineffective CEO, that would save operational costs of 300k pa.

And no more £30 ticket prices for occasional fans.

Bradford city have done it right over the years, £100 season tickets meant they sold thousands, which in turn brings in food and drink sales.
Big crowds each week supporting the team

Lost count of the number of people who have said " I'll be picking my games next season "

This whole season has been a shit show from pre season to now, top to bottom of the club.

A lot of staff paid a shit load of money for effectively ** up!
We’ve come so far since the Oystons in lots of ways, but this season has been an embarrassment, unprofessional, with the fans treated with utter contempt!
SS needs to seriously look at the staff he’s employing and evaluate if he’s getting value for money….. we seem to pay over the odds for club staff/board, but shop in B&M for players!

They need to price it right but not sure why people who are pool fans wouldn't renew.

We've had a couple of great seasons and then a totally shite one. It happens. Kind of self inflicted in many way but...

It's still not even happened yet but when it does, after people calm down over the summer, see hopefully some positive steps in appointing a new manager, new players etc, hopefully people get on board.

If we can get winning in league 1 and actually be up there going for promotion with fans in attendance this time people will forget all about this season.

What else are people going to do at the weekend.

I'd hope being in the championship has built up a bit of support too.

You expect some sort of drop, same as you expect a rise when you go up, the clubs job is to minimise it by a big marketing push, well priced tickets, good signings etc as mentioned.

Other clubs at the level get some decent crowds, so can Blackpool of we get the feelgood factor back and get winning.

If the prices aren’t reduced including POTG then fans will vote with their feet. After this season, the football won’t make fans renew so the club will have to offer incentives if they want to maintain 6k plus season ticket holders. With the rise in costs in general, it will be too easy for people to find an excuse. I am a master of it.

Also sack off the membership scheme. That is something Oyston would do.

£200 max in an attempt to fill the ground. It’s what we need to generate positivity.
No chance at that low, especially as people will want promotion.

I'd love to see a lower prices strategy though, backed with a positive managerial appointment, a fan favourite maybe, properly marketed, some great signings, get the feelgood back.

But I think it's too low if we want to be pushing. Can't see it going below £299 tbh although it depends how much they wanted to go for it with the crowds.

Even that would be marketable, however if they went the full on low price and get loads on board then happy days, can't see it though.

It’s going to be very easy for a lot of folk, especially the older ones who will miss a few games in the cold weather and youngers on minimum wage, to not renew season tickets for league 1 without major changes to personnel and pricing.

£300 maximum for a season ticket. £20 for individual matches.

Season ticket since 2006
Seasider since birth (Heinz 57)
5% cheaper than this season, and if promoted first season in championship free.
It’s been done before at Burnley

It’s not just season ticket prices that will influence decisions, we want to see some joined up decision making, plus we want to see what changes are going to be made, including at board level, manager and player recruitment.

Yes. We will make our minds up on whether we get seasons tickets on a number of factors
1) Price of season tickets
2) Managerial Appointment
3) Player Recruitment

Knowing the decisions this club makes, season ticket prices will be frozen and they will promote is a positive with a big ‘FROZEN’ marketing campaign. Every decision is woeful so fully expecting rip off prices again.

5 in our group yesterday who always have season tkts …3 said won’t bother next near unless at least £100 less than this.
Unless they are reasonably priced. They need to get get this right and also the matchday ticket prices I can see the club losing a large amount of st holders

Love this.

The maddest thing for me is, the guy who tells the fans (and I’m presuming any new Managers and Sporting Directors we employ as they pedal the same) we are a small club and are punching above our weight collects his £300,000, which isn’t a small Club wage. Piss take.

It doesn't really matter if its 400 pound or 100 pounds, The new generation of Pool supporters have probably been lost due to the shambolic football on display,

Morecambe sold advance season tickets for £150 this season for League 1. Now clearly we are a bigger club with more expensive infrastructure, but we need to significantly reduce the price from this year to say £250 ..... probably won't happen though

That’s utterly ridiculous
