"Stephen Dobbie's Tangerine Army"

I watched the last few games of Quitchley's reign in the 21/22 season which were boring and predictable. I suffered almost the whole of the 22/23 season under Appleton and Dinosaur Mick, save for the last 6 games when Stephen Dobbie was handed the job as caretaker. The change was almost unbelievable. The football became exciting to watch. The players bought in to his positive team selections and his tactics. We won 3 out of 6 games including the final day's victory at Norwich
Last night's game took me back to the end of 21/22. Boring, lacking in endeavour to win the game and a team set up to not lose!
Let's hope that the Club have not made another colossal error in reappointing the man who ran away without a bye your leave!

Or appointing the man who got us promoted and then kept us up with ease as opposed to the man who has managed six games and won half.

I wouldn’t have minded Dobbie, but I don’t think the club made a mistake by appointing the man who got us up and then comfortably kept us up.

It’s three games in to the season, it takes time for teams to gel, last night was bad, but we need patience.

Crickey…3rd game into a long season and out come ridiculous ,and yes they are, comments like this .
By the time Dobbie, and certainly don’t have anything against him, took over we already basically doomed and had nothing to lose.

Critchley needs a No 2 of experience. That will be the same in 30 games time as it is after 3, and was before a ball was kicked.
Yep I would have preferred an experienced coach alongside him however I’m not sure the Critchmeister does. He seems happy with his own men.

So we lost 3 out of 6...🤣😉

He should have got the job but it is what it is and we have to see where we are by Christmas, it's too early to come to any conclusions so let's see where we are then, hopefully we will be in or around the top 2.

I didn’t want Critchley back and I’m still very bitter about the way he left the club, but ffs. It’s 3 games.

The issue is backing/recruitment. Back him and bring in the players we need to improve, cos we’re not far off being a very good team at this level

There are no guarantees whoever you appoint. I can see why SS appointed Critch. Its his money he is risking and Critch was a big success when he was last employed here .

My concern is that Critch is not going to get a fair crack at the whip from the fans.

Critch needs to be treated just as any other new manager would be treated. This early booing is concerning me. We must not press the self destruct button.

Well he will from me .

Did you buy a season ticket for this season knowing what you were going to get? If so why?
I agree with you btw, they should have given Dobbie the role...

4 games, 2 wins, 2 draws.

Some of our fan base are clearly on the spectrum when you see posts like this.

We've got some strangely entitled fans.
I know it's currently an in-vogue term but what do you mean by 'entitled'? I want to see Blackpool playing fast, forward play, with quick passes, strong defending, assured keeping and goals. I don't demand it as if it's my right. However, I feel that I'm allowed a frustrated moan when the ball goes between Marv, Husband, Casey and Grimshaw for the nth time with no development.

We need someone who can get a tune out of our strikers. Maybe there's an ex manager or assistant somewhere who specialises in this?

Get over it.

I’m inclined to think that Critchley was a safer choice of a manager.

If it does end up going wrong, it will have may people come out and say ‘I told you so’. Then we’ll move on.

If it went wrong after appointing Dobbie, let’s say, it will have ruined someone who for me is a bit of a club legend in the modern era.

There is a man who manages one of our players at international level who apparently can do this
Maybe the player in question can ask him for some tips to bring back when he goes on international duty
