Any updates on either of these - a part of me thinks on temporary pay as you play contracts they'd be two decent players to have around and we can't forget Gabriel when he comes back. I think sometimes better to look at what you have than to be trawling around the leagues to see what else you can find.

Pay as you play still isn’t a good option because there are limits on squad size so we can’t afford to carry injury prone players who may or may not be available

It's not really compatible with limited squad sizes.

And what have we got? Madine who’s out until new year and Stewart who’s on the biggest wage in the club and who few have seen play because he’s forever on the physio’s table.

Don’t talk nonsense.
 
Neither would accept a pay as you play contract either. Some one will gamble on them both and give them a contract.

Was he directly recorded on video saying these words or did you just assume it? (I have not seen the video)

Either way I think this obsession with former players needs to stop. It’s getting a bit weird now…..

In this instance I agree with you, but there is an argument in other cases for better the devil you know.

I've seen it. Some whacky looking pro dart player was at the club and they were doing a bit of a promo and Big Gaz said he was ahead. That said it was said he'd be out for a full 12 months when he did it. So if it's only now 9 months that's most of the season.
