Stewart & Gary Goals

They both should be left in the past. They've had their day. Onto bigger and better things with this younger, fresher squad.

Madine is up is own arse.
On what basis do you say that, have you ever met him? Presumably you wouldn't dare say that to his face.

Madine was badly injured and was never going to be fit again until sometime in 2024. There's no need to insult the guy personally just because, presumably, you didn't appreciate him as a footballer.

Kevin Stewart is active on instagram doing all sorts. He's been involved in property development for a while and has something called "the pro-gram" with fellow player Ryan Tafazolli, for young footballers. He's also big into "self-help" and has a channel for that too.

I stood next to him in poulton having a piss and he was mouthing off in the toilet about how he was 'bored' at Blackpool and that he would be off next year.

So yep, I have met him and it only cemented what I already suspected. You only have to look at his rap sheet to see what kind of guy he is.

We don't need players like that at our club. I'm staggered that he was given the captains armband at one point last season.

I actually rated him as a target man. He was a useful outlet for us and handy defending set pieces too. But he's in the past in my opinion and should stay there.

I continue to be amazed at how many "pure as the driven snow" supporters we have.

"We don't need players like that at our club" because, let's face it FY5, you've obviously done nothing wrong have you🤦

Your first small paragraph actually proves the point the bloke is trying to make.
I know of two people that have met him one said he was fine the other was subjected to insults that weren't necessary or warranted.
The time that he did inside was probably due to him being a bit of a bully, not an admirable quality.

I understand that we have a duty of care to Madine in terms of getting him fit. I think he is lucky to have that, because in my eyes his driving offence amounted to him breaching an admittedly notional duty of care to us.

We have sufficient striking resources for this season now. If Rhodes is recalled then we can recall Apter. Personally I would rather both stayed with their loanee clubs, because they will both play far more minutes with them.

And if in an emergency strikers got injured and we wanted a free agent signing, would he really fit into our style of play?
Dembele running at players and laying it off for runners?

I’d think every player in that squad would have been bored with Appleton and McCarthy so not surprised he wanted away. He’s said in the past he’s a big admirer of Critch so that could have changed things a lot.

I will be astonished if madine plays for us again why would we want a player who rarely contributed anything other than chithousery most of it cowardly .Infuriated the useless lump of lard got games anyway

Fair point. Even his driving has suffered since his injury.

I sat next to him at the previous season's awards night with Raggy and others.. Great company for the whole evening, happy to speak to people constantly interrupting his dinner. You can only take people as you find them and he was entertaining, good company with lots of stories.

Like I say I've heard three different reports now, 2 good 1 bad, maybe he's only an occasional dick head!
That applies to loads of us!!

Context is everything when you hear stories about what people were like when met. Never met him but I liked him when fit for us and he was an asset, one of the few players able to mix it up last season and a handful for defenders.

I think it was a combination of the convictions, one of them seemed like a full on case of bullying, one of the story's I was told about his behaviour to somebody locally and the weird on pitch vendettas he had last season that gave me a negative opinion of him.
As a footballer I hope we have moved on, he was slow before and that can only have got worse with age and injury.

Seems he has some demons but agree with the view that doesn't make him automatically a bad guy. When we had that cause a couple of years back to raise money for disadvantaged kids in the Blackpool area, didn't Madine make a fairly astounding donation? I'm recalling a couple of grand?

Edit - quick google seeing if I could find that, I found this instead. Bit of a class act:

Why would he be talking to himself when having a piss about being bored at BFC? Sounds like a load of made up bollocks to me.
There were 4 or 5 others in there at the time. I was next to him whilst he was talking. I don't lie and make shit up and I have no record of doing so on this site.

If you think I'm talking bollocks then so be it. I won't be losing any sleep over it 👍🏻

I suspect he'll end up at AFC Fylde, it's only a short help over the fence from Kirkham Prison
