The judge said: "It's a mystery why people in your position do this, I suspect you made off from the police because you didn't want to be breathalysed but I disregard that, the circumstances of this are bad enough."

I mean it’s not like he’s forgot to pay for a carrier bag is it, he’s in a police chase before crashing

Hmmmm I don’t know what to make of this.

I don’t whether you want an argument because I called him an idiot or whether he got away scott free (every credit to his solicitor).

The lad is an idiot he admitted he was when being sentenced I assume the judge showed leniency to him showing remorse.

Still shouldn’t be anywhere near the club again.

Ridiculous post, it’s sheer good fortune he didn’t injure or kill someone. I guarantee if it were your car he hit and you didn’t support Pool, you’d be saying the same thing. He’s been inside previously and has history, this isn’t a minor mistake. Too lenient for me, whoever he is.

Let’s also consider this. The club has paid for his operation & rehab, yet he’s risked his recovery in this way. I’ve had that op and you have to be ultra-careful in rehab.
 
He has made a big mistake maybe drunk at the wheel , maybe high on drugs, maybe both, the one good thing is that nobody has been injured.
He will pay the penalty that the judge has given him , which does seem very lenient, let’s just hope that he learns from his mistakes.
I didn’t realise that all members that contribute to avftt are whiter that white.

I don't want an argument but I'd like to point out that Madine was stupid in trying to evade arrest and hit a car in the process, you want him banished from the club.
Lee Hughes actually killed someone whilst driving and played for the club after🤷

Oh, and if by some dreadful circumstance one of your family panics and does the same (crash into vehicles) I sincerely hope you advise them to quit their jobs immediately
 
If he had been drinking then why not get a bloody taxi, even I can afford that. Then again he had a passenger, an illicit encounter perhaps. Who knows stupid really. I wonder how many people in senior positions have got away with misdemeanours because they knew someone nod nod wink wink 😉

If it was a family member and given his previous convictions I would be advising him he has a problem with drink and should seriously
consider giving it up altogether, especially given his profession.

Some people just cannot handle their drink, and turn nasty.
 
It was incredibly ridiculous and selfish and he was lucky although he still got banned from driving for a year and has over 200 ours community service and a suspended prison sentence over him plus a massive fine and he will have to pay for all the damage so he has hardly got away Scott free. Other than that he would have been potted for 6 months and how would that assist anyone?

I feel sorry for the club who have stood by him, paid for his rehabilitation and taken care of him that he should return their actions by being a total c**t! He is lucky he didn't kill his passenger, he put other people at risk and it could have been a lot worse, but they can't prosecute for what ifs. He also risked further injury to his existing injury and new injuries which shows how much of a cretin he is just for that.

He was never coming back to us anyway, but I would think Sadler is the type of person not to turn his back on Gaz because the bloke clearly needs help, be it with a drinking problem, mental health etc., and though I decry him for being a terrible hirer of football managers I don't know, but I bet he is offering support and I hope he is.
 
I've very recently been on the end of an alleged drunk and drug driver who smashed our 2 cars when parked up. I'd be hoping for a prison sentence. It's pot luck that no-one was killed.

So, the actions, and subsequent 'treatment' of that dangerous no-mark Lee Hughes, should be seen as the precedent by which BFC handle the situation Gary Madine finds himself in?

Can I 'have' some of whatever you're on ... ?

I went to a wedding at a working men's club in Birtley around the time Gaz was born. 👍

I drank too much, had a great time and got a taxi. 😇

Can we call him Gaz OG now?

How d'ya mean. exactly? Given the 'state' I suspect Gaz was in at this point, and of course it would only have made matters worse, I'm just relieved he didn't foolishly attempt to flag a lift with the siren-blaring jam-sandwich ...

Yes. In my opinion, he should not continue his rehab with us.

We don’t need trouble makers and bad influences around the club.
