No doubt he had a reason to run, possibly drink or drugs, so he avoided a move serious charge.
We've already got shut of him, you need to let it go, he's not worth it.OK lets get shut of him
Oh, and if by some dreadful circumstance one of your family panics and does the same (crash into vehicles) I sincerely hope you advise them to quit their jobs immediately
True but was obviously under the influence,so he’s got away with a more serious charge by delaying the outcomeLets face it, you have to be pretty thick to do a runner when the car you've left behind is registered in your name and your home address.
Leyland, he got lucky, usually the judge will assume because he's done a runner he's got a reason to get away and punish him anyway.True but was obviously under the influence,so he’s got away with a more serious charge by delaying the outcome
You seem to be overlooking his previous. Oh, and I can tell you that they wouldn’t need to quit, they’d be sacked for gross misconduct. That’s what happens with criminal convictions and he’s had plenty of chances given to him. Panic my arse. Attempting to escape justice and according to the judge, being caught for DD. Jeez, some people will defend the indefensible.OK lets get shut of him

Can’t comment on his personality as never met him but I could never describe anyone who scored for the pool against the nobbers as a crap playerNo surprise when you see some of the disgraceful schthousery he did on the pitch the guy not only was a crap player but a horrible individual .
if he’s running around may be he’s back on the grass !!! Need to ask CritchleySurprised he could run at all, if he was injured

I can’t imagine they were case papers. His brief must have been concerned, Madine in that pictures turned up to court with a go to prison holdall.
Cost us the game and ultimately 2pts that night. If the elbow (red card against Huddersfield?) at home wasn't enough evidence that he's never a captain. This should seal it. Pathetic
I was going to say it had his pre cons in, but the bag doesn't look big enough.I can’t imagine they were case papers.
Very good comment, but that’s just my opinion. Thank God he’s not hurt anyone, and he will be hurting himself, having made a very poor choice here.I'm not available for comment.
Ffs. Gaz...
One of the things I found made Madine very watchable as a player was the volatility and oddly fragile nature of him.
I also think he's quite intelligent (at least in the way he plays) and what I know of people who know him would suggest he's got a brain and a really deep love of football but he's also got this mental self destructive streak. A kind of brutal nihilism perhaps. I find that easier to identify with than a soulless robot. We all do dickhead things in different ways. The idea of Gaz as an at least partially reformed rogue kind of had a charm.
I'm not going to try to defend him morally on the basis that I like a big lad up front. I dunno, it just makes me sad to be honest. He's going to fuck up his chance of a future and he's a young man really.
He's also lucky that he didn't end up doing a Lee Hughes. Driving at speed through a built up area is a dickhead thing to do however and whatever you dress it up as.
People are contradictory. Footballers live their lives in a weird way, sheltered from maturity in a lot of ways. I don't think that always serves them well.
He did a lot of local community and charity work… visited my mates kid at the Vic after an op.Can’t comment on his personality as never met him but I could never describe anyone who scored for the pool against the nobbers as a crap player
Great player imo
There seems to be a fairly strong suspicion that he was probably stoned at the time the incident actually occurred, so to talk in terms of 'stoning' as a possible means of disposal does strike me as slightly lacking in imagination.Isn't it good when these whiter than white types turn up taking the moral high ground!!
So glad there's at least one person on the forum not done anything ridiculously stupid
Edit to add.......
Yeh it was bloody stupid what he did, what would you prefer the sentence to be?
Banished to the wastelands forever or perhaps a stoning?
Apparently the cops caught up to him but Madine used his art in shithousery to get awayThe cops chasing him can’t of been very fast.
That must have been some sight . Never having been seen running before, and when supposedly injuredWhy else would he run away from the scene?
Ooohhh - I'm not so sure about that ... To my way of thinking, if it could be agreed that we 'shell out' for another six months towards the cost of continuing rehab for the poor waif, after retirement from football, he could perhaps be looking seriously at a career move into UK athletics - as a sprinter ...Nice to know we funded his rehab sufficiently that he can run away from the scene of a crash.
Sounds like it's time to end the funding
More like speed walked away from the sceneBig Gary Madine...running from the scene...
