Still enjoying it

I know this season isnt going to plan, and realistically, was it ever going to?
However, I'm still enjoying going to the games, the banter, meeting up with old friends and making new ones and the odd pint here and there.
It's the start of a long journey under a new owner who wants the same things we do. It'll take time, but we will get there.

Excellent post. What I've seen this season is a lot of progress off the pitch. Improvements such as the dressing room. Shame that on the pitch isn't as successful.

Agreed Gaz, it’s nice to be debating normal football issues again and not worrying about the latest fiendish plan of the verminous ones.
Now any thread about them is filled with amusement and sniggers....

Next home game Bolton, always a big game. Both teams struggling but we should still have the edge. Get down to Bloomfield road and support the team.

Hard to disagree with the OP.

Despite the form it seems we have an owner who will commit financially to the club and act as he has this last week. The long term future is bright.

It's been very frustrating to watch especially a game like that today. At 0-1 up well into the second half I was thinking how ironic it would be to keep a clean sheet when up steps their CH and blasts a 30 yarder into the top corner. Then a deflected winner and a last minute chance for Fonz which he really should have tucked away.

However, you should try to take the positives and there was some good performances out there today and the team looked better balanced. Stand-in captain Heneghan's dismissal was just brainless and I hope he apologized to his teammates. He is a long way short of being Championship player based on his recent performances.

The decision on the next manager is going to be crucial for the development of the club. It really does need someone to come in and galvanize the squad and get things moving in the right direction.

Yeah, some good stuff on the pitch today - we were unlucky - and I enjoyed it. I enjoy going to games again and caring about how we are playing. Lots to be positive about, even though we are on a terrible run and really need something ( a new manager) to give us a jolt in the right direction.

Fully agree!

In a way it would have been boring if we’d come into this season and completely bossed it.

Good to experience a bit of sh1t on the pitch to make us appreciate the good times when the new gaffer comes in 😄

Will settle for going up as champions next season instead.

Today was a good laugh on that terrace. Plenty of p1ss wrapped people but all in good spirits.

We’ve got our club back!

Decent OP

it’s good getting back to being a fan, like all the other fans at their clubs. Still shaking our heads at another mistake, punching the air at a goal, etc, etc - yes it’s good to be back, even better now that Grayson has gone.

this season for me ,has always been about being back , Saturday afternoon with my son sat amongst like minded people and whinging old farts moaning about the ref, the bad pass etc.
