They made it up about him being caught with his pants down though …it’s not what happened.Anyone else watched the first episode?
Typical bloke in a high position, caught with his pants down and blackmailed.
Looks like it could be a decent show.
Yep, it’s terrible acting and utter tripeThe main character appears to have been based on Tim Nice but Dim from the Harry Enfield Show.
Agreed, I can’t take the character seriously.Yep, it’s terrible acting and utter tripe
Producer must have been mental to not drop him after one scene ….it’s like a wildly camp badly acted interpretation at bestAgreed, I can’t take the character seriously.
It is. Watched about 15 mins while reading some threads on here and looking through right move.It can’t be tripe, Keeley Hawes is in it !!
Mates, I am 74 and intermittently have the same problem but Zolpiderm does the trick for me.Mandrax was prescribed to me as a sleeping pill when I was 27, I took it every night for around two years before they banned it. I was gutted, I wasn’t addicted, I had no affects from stopping other than once again struggling with sleep. I’m 80 now and I still can’t sleep.
yep, watched that last night and obviously it was a much more accurate account of events.I think the “drama” was meant to be a comedy.
There’s also a documentary available that gives a more sober view.
As you probably know, I'm 87.Mates, I am 74 and intermittently have the same problem but Zolpiderm does the trick for me.
Shifts are a killer DaveAs you probably know, I'm 87.
I have, for many years, been a poor sleeper.
However, I never resorted to tablets to do the job.
In my years at Luton Airport the shifts were awful.
One particular one was Lates Thursday (Midnight finish), back on at 07.30 Friday until 16.00, and then back at 23.30 for a week of nights.
OK, we were on 20% shift allowance, time and half Saturdays, and double time on Sundays (5 out 6 weeks).
On the max of CS EO salary.
Well paid, but it certainly ruined parts of ones life.
Yeah. That’s what I thought as well. The main difference seemed to be that the documentary made clear the size of the financial hole he was in. The “drama” touched on that but only in passing.Actually I watched the Real Stonehouse documentary earlier.
The events depicted on the drama might not have been convincingly portrayed, but actually I think stuck pretty close to what was in the documentary. Much more than I would have expected after reading the article by his daughter.

If a documentary isn't more accurate it would be a poor doyep, watched that last night and obviously it was a much more accurate account of events.
