He watched videos of the games. When they say Neil Critchley has watched the last four matches, was that live or on playback?
What would you like to have raised Kurt? It's nice and everything, but nothing ground breaking in there. Some of the questions asked just goes beyond belief though. The really important stuff just gets missed at these things sometime.s But fair play to those that attended.
No mention of the academy.
The just don't invite the right people.
The academy was one I thought about, more football related questions around the manager, contractual situations, training ground, vision for this following season. What would you like to have raised Kurt?

Talking about bars, the club shop, safe standing is all a bit of whatever really.
That's fair enough. Maybe we could have a voice clip of it instead of minutes? Doesn't quite give the context it probably deserves. The academy was discussed at the previous meeting and briefly in the recent one.
It was also made clear at the previous meeting that the board did not wish to discuss contractual situations, as that was considered to be confidential information.
The training ground was discussed. All the plans are in place, architects etc. It is awaiting interim planning permission and then all will be revealed.
There was also quite a bit of discussion about the new manager but I guess it is difficult to minute a general conversation.
The question regarding player recruitment was addressed.
Some of the points regarding bars, club shop etc may seem mundane but the club needs to make money to survive.
A decent bar and online merchandising are important in helping the club succeed.
Simon Sadler cannot be expected to finance everything, we need to work on ideas as to how we supporters can help generate income.
It might be an idea for Ben to have a column in the programme, where he can present information on the training ground, academy etc in more detail for everyone to read.
What would you like to have raised Kurt?
I've a few for starters:
1. What category youth academy are they going for?
2. Will the new training complex incorporate facilities for public use?
3. Could there be season tickets for Saturday's only introduced for exiles?
4. Can the first home cup game for free be re-introduced to season ticket holders?
5. What are the club doing to address the absolutely appalling tannoy system, which literally no-one can hear?
Instead of smoking areas and train ticket refunds for 20 people.
Assuming you're being serious then why not? There's an inverted snobbery within the Football Supporters Association that perceived 'happy clappy' fans aren't worthy of inclusion, indeed the term was used by Blackburn Trust at the meeting BST held at the Hilton. The most shocking development is that BSA are still going, why?
No.3 is interesting but what happens if a game is rearranged for midweek?
I get that Plumbs but it's more to do with their support of the previous regime and own snobbery towards BST at the time.Assuming you're being serious then why not? If a club wants to engage with its fans then it has to be wholly inclusive otherwise it will affect income, and have a negative effect within its fan base.
Its happened to a degree at Leeds where the loyal fans who've stuck through the crap now can't get an away ticket, but the woodworkers which includes our Trust have argued for a more open method of distribution.
BSA-irrespective of leadership issues-have stuck* by the club for a long time and deserve full representation.
*someone can do NAPM on another thread because that's not what I'm talking about.
1. See my comment earlier in the thread
2. They seem to want to wait for the interim planning permission before going public
3. Good question
4. Good question. The club needs money to help achieve all the things the fans are asking for. Do we need to take some responsibility?
5. This was discussed at the previous meeting in December and response minuted:
- when are we going to get a decent PA and wireless enablement?
Club: again, these are expensive infrastructure projects. Comparisons between BFC and premiership set-ups like Emirates or Etihad are not really legitimate. It’s a question of priorities for us and not cost-justifiable right now.
From their members or the leadership? From what I know about BSA they are largely a travel group who have done some incredible fund raising eg SJA statue and the excellent hall of fame, where the O's did little to help in that direction.I get that Plumbs but it's more to do with their support of the previous regime and own snobbery towards BST at the time.
Let's just close the kiosks then by your logic, and lose all the revenue. It's only 90 minutes after all.All the bollocks about smoking areas and taking drinks... it's a 90 minute football match, just do without it for 90 minutes.
Thanks to those that attended and for the link to the notes. a couple of points from me...
1. I think that Saturday only season ticket is worth exploring. My daughter works away during the week and can't make noght games, but has and still want a season ticket to ensure she gets her seat next to me.
2. Can we re-introduce the car park next to the bus station, and have the football only car park pass
3. We sometimes allow STHs to upgrade to hospitality at a discount price. I think that this is a good idea, especially for midweek nght matches when its freezing.
Yes, there is a football based car park pass for the car parks next to the ground, £60 for the season.Worth sending these ideas to the SLO I think. He has regular meetings with Brett.
The car park pass was an initiative from the council rather than the club. I used to have one, not sure if the council still do it or not?
@Loco thanks for the reply, sorry I didn't see your message about going for a category 2 academy. I think that's a very good ambition to have, category 1 I think would be far too expensive for a league one club of our size. That said if we grow as a club and climb up the leagues I guess that can be changed.
Regarding point 4, true but they could do something like a discount for the first cup game for season ticket holders perhaps.
Regarding point 5, it's a crying shame they can't do something about it just yet. Especially if they're thinking about improving the half time entertainment.
I think generally it's good to see so much dialogue and engagement taking place between fans and club. Really looking forward to seeing the training ground plans. Were there any further details about that, not necessarily location, but what research they've done into what constitutes a good facility?
Thanks for that. Sometimes these things just don't seem to get advertised very well.Yes, there is a football based car park pass for the car parks next to the ground, £60 for the season.
Ben Mansford said Cat 2 was an aim for the academy and training ground outline planning permission would be lodged within the next few weeks. Architects appointed etc.The academy was one I thought about, more football related questions around the manager, contractual situations, training ground, vision for this following season.
Talking about bars, the club shop, safe standing is all a bit of whatever really.
Yes still going. I have one in the car. Only to be used on match days but it would be handy for short term use if I was going down to the ground for tickets, club shop etc.Yes, there is a football based car park pass for the car parks next to the ground, £60 for the season.
The most shocking development is that BSA are still going, why?

Based on the volume of people in there I'd say it was.Well no, that's not what I'm saying. I was talking about the smoking area. It's not needed.
So, when there's a dangerous health & safety situation - fire, crush, stand collapse - and customers cannot hear the instructions from the Police over the tannoys then that's OK because that level of safety is only needed at top Premier grounds and as we can't justify it on cost grounds then tough titty to anyone who is badly injured as a result.1. See my comment earlier in the thread

This has been mentioned and I agree with you.So, when there's a dangerous health & safety situation - fire, crush, stand collapse - and customers cannot hear the instructions from the Police over the tannoys then that's OK because that level of safety is only needed at top Premier grounds and as we can't justify it on cost grounds then tough titty to anyone who is badly injured as a result.
