Sunderland aren't happy.

I remember laughing at them 15 years or so ago when they were in the Premier League when watching them on MOTD. As soon as they went 2-0 down at home, 3/4 of the home support would boo and leave the stadium.

Is there are more entitled set of supporters in football than Sunderland fans? They have done nothing, ever, but seem to think they should be regarded as a club in the top echelons of English football.

It's the hope that kills you. 2 weeks ago they were confident of going up automatically now their fans are predictions another season in L1. Football fans are very fickle but it seems they have the *ficklest of them all.
Should make an interesting next series of Sunderland till I Die on Netflix lol

I thought it could have gone either way.
Established league one outfit.

What’s the point in playing world class like last week for 75 mins and ending up hanging on for a draw, while we can dig deep and defend like we did today and win? The players are running themselves into the ground at the moment and almost on empty, but what a team 👏👏 So the amount of possession they had today and maybe had one or two chances means nothing in fact they had less possession than we had against Plymouth away first game of the season, didn’t we lose?🤔
Fair enough Bayern but if we defend any deeper we'd have eleven men on the goal-line.

I mean, there was an entire Netflix series originally planning on documenting their sure-to-be rise back to the Premier League and look how that turned out. Makes for good viewing if you enjoy a spot of Schadenfreude, mind.

One of the funniest posts on their board was someone who said if it wasn't for their shit keeper they'd have won the game. He was gently reminded that you need to score to win a game.

If ever a team were playing against 12 men it was us.
Referee was below average, and chickening out of that 2nd yellow was pathetic.
Just worried now about certain of our players injuries are. Gretarsson was really in the wars, but he wanted to carry on.
Top player.

They’ll particularly enjoy watching Embo playing total football on that slick Wembley surface as we put 3 past Portsmouth to go up 😉

It was a tight game and in fairness the better team won. We definitely should've been down to ten, I have absolutely no idea how the ref bottled that one. I'm surprised yous didn't get Mitchell on the ball more he was causes problems all game.

And as for our fans comments, I'd largely ignore the majority of posts and comments on Readytogo, that place is as fickle as it comes.

We can play a LOT better than that. Obviously delighted with the 3pts. It makes up for being robbed by Lincoln the week before.

Alot of our first team players have been out injured for weeks and missing yesterday were
Gary Madine
Keshi anderson
Kevin stewart
Matty Virtue
CJ Hamilton
Bez lubala
Elliot Embleton(on loan so not allowed)
The lads that played for pool yesterday have played sat/tues for weeks and we have nothing available to change things with subs etc. So with all that in mind Blackpool have done amazing this season regardless of where they finish in the league this season

Yeah injuries this season have been bad, up until last week we had
Bailey Wright
Denver Hume
Tom Flanagan
Jordan Willis
Xhemajli
Djon Sanderson
All defenders that would start ahead of who played with three of those out for the season and the rest out for months. Wright and Hume are back but no where near ready.

At the start of the season I had yous to be one of the top contenders and always thought you'd play into a bit of form. Looks lieks its happening at the right time for yous.

There's some proper divvys on their mind hahaha

Mitchell started the season as a left back rather than right wing, which gives you an idea why we had a poor start (not blaming Mitchell, just that we didn't have the team in place from the start).
I'm not sure the better team won, I felt we just got the fortunate break in what was a very tightly contested game. It was always likely to be a piece of brilliance or a mistake that would win it for someone.
What I find strange is that I thought a player like Embleton could've tipped the balance in your favour. Bizarre decision to let him go, especially to a direct rival. He's better than the midfielders you put out yesterday, in terms of attacking threat.

Until a few weeks ago we also had our three best centre-backs out (and our 5th choice too) - we played a couple of games with our 4th choice centre-back and right back as the pairing. We had all our defenders back yesterday but have now lost Gretarsson again. Still had 5 midfielders and 2 forwards out yesterday, all of them (maybe excepting Lubala) pushing hard to be in the starting eleven.

If a funny sort of way, the injuries in our squad have improved The Mighty Pool. Once we get promotion, and with all our players fit and raring to go, we will not be in the relegation zone by a long chalk.
