In the Sunderland local paper, Kyril has a trust fund of 2 billion pounds, and his mother is worth 5.6 billion. So I would imagine he will meet with the approval of the fanbase.

Being ‘worth’ xx and having the ability/motivation to fund a football club over many years are not necessarily the same thing
 
Is he something to do with the Louis - Dreyfus of bribing Fifa officials fame?
 
Most of the mackems I know are non plussed and will believe it when they see it after previous regimes

It's shocking really when you consider what a football club like Sunderland means to the people of that town, how such a random kid can pop up and own it.

The passion, the hopes, the dreams, memories, comradary etc. versus one spoilt kid with a big wallet - the two are world's apart.

Just puts into perspective how lucky we are to have Simon Sadler.

A billionaire yes, but one of our own, and has the overall improvement of the community at the heart of his motives.

We truly are the luckiest fans in the EFL right now.

I get updates every other day from the SDE (I jog round the park with him) he is big Sunderland fan - - he hated Stuart Donald from the start, reckoned he is a real shyster, he has said some stupid derogatory things to the fans, also convinced he posted under a pseudonym on the boards (like KOKO) ... better without him.

I have a soft spot for Sunderland- Leatherface (the UK’s best ever band imho) are mad Mackems ... hope the fans aren’t disappointed.

Bet as he was growing up he longed for the day when he could be CEO at Sunderland 🙄 shakes head.
 
Interesting that it made the front page of the BBC Website and some newspapers - did our take-over get anywhere near that coverage and is it just because it's Sunderland or the fact that he's 23?
