Sycamore Gap Tree felled..

There’s a part of me that wonders why this kind of outrage is reserved for a 16 year old kid and not for those unfortunate ‘Ancient Trees’ that stand in the way of corporate revenue or Government Policy. (5G networks for example).

In fact I’ve seen a similar outrage expressed on here toward the so called ‘Great Unwashed’ for trying to protect these Ancient lives from such an onslaught!!

Maybe if the kid puts up a 5G mast in its place all will be forgiven 👍👍

Or some solar panels and wind turbines.
 
If it was someones tree in their garden, no one would be bothered, because it was in a picturesque setting, people are getting upset over something trivial.
 
A 16 yr old walked a fair way to fell a tree that's in the middle of nowhere.🌲
How many 16 yr olds walk these days, never mind in the middle of nowhere.
 
Something odd about this, cutting a tree down that size needs knowledge. I have a chainsaw but cutting down that is dangerous and not an easy task, seems a tall order for a lone 16 year old
 
I know one Seasider who lives closer to Bardon Mill than me - but its very local. I have pictures there as a kid with my parents and pictures wit my kids. Mindless idiot who did this. I hear it was a prank

There was a cut mark sprayed in white paint. There is an adult that knows what they are doing. The 16 year old is almost definitely the fall guy.

You can photoshop further generations with the tree, its only a picture.

I bet it was a "top of the range" chain saw too. With all the hundreds of thousands made in property sales and savings over the years Boomers only have the best for themselves.
