I’d agree - first goal seems to win or at least get a point in this league - not seen many fightbacks so far this season.
 
Go back to a 4-4-2 - everyone knows their roles - we can be resolute at the back but give the wide men the freedom to go forward and keep two up top.
 
I would have thought that an away game at Barnsley is no place for.ball playing wannabes. Norburn, Dougall AND Virtue in m/f for starters, with Connolly as back-up later would be my choice. This is a sort of litmus-test for Pool. We are away to a solid no nonsense outfit, who, if we are weak, will climb all over us.

But have lost 3 times at home already this season despite winning 7-0 there on the opening day.

Exeter, Lincoln and Wycombe are all solid L1 teams. All litmus tests.
