Tangerine TV match day pass

I am overseas!

Cant get the match audio either, only monthly (although that's not expensive I admit).

"Set to be shown live by multiple broadcasters across Europe, Asia, North America and throughout the world, the match will therefore be unavailable to stream live internationally on Tangerine TV in countries covered by the EFL’s global television rights deal."

So how do watch on Tangerine TV in counties that are not covered by the EFLs television rights e.g. Japan ?

Asking for a friend 🙂

yes but my friend in Japan cant see how you buy the game from Tangerine TV ?
Really in Japan?. Not sure if Japan are one of the "available" countries.

Edit - should be available to buy if the ISP is set to Japan.

Any one of these should be ok.

No idea how you access the game though. Never been to a dark market territory myself. Not since TTV launched anyway. Not even Preston.

Thanks Halifax , + Voyeur ..........worked it out now , my friend in Japan had to have his VPN up and working before he logged in. He can now see the purchase option :) 👍

This dark market is an interesting one. If you go that route and use a vpn to watch the away games, paying the club £10 for the privilege, who exactly is losing out?

Not that I would condone such actions of course.

Why not ..that's what I've done.
As the game is being broadcast internationally there will no doubt be some dodgy streams available for free.
However I'm more than happy to contribute a tenner to the club for the privilege.
It's a simple process of just setting your VPN to one of the dark market countries listed above BEFORE you try to purchase via TTV.

Spot on SS , I think the authorities should re-look at this, if the game is available on TTV it does not impact if I go or not. Clubs are missing out on revenue

I just tried my VPN on Japan and it gives me the option to view the game.
Tried Chicago which is my normal place and it says no.

Only problem with that point of view hardly anyone pays you only have to take a look at the total Ifollow revinues during the pandemic they where absolutely pathetic.

I didn't know I-follow revenues were published , where did you see them ?
It was the season total that was published not per club - £42 million with 1659 games shown works out a little over 25k a game so around an average of 2,500 subscribers per match across the 72 EFL clubs.

2020/2021 figures in a pandemic where no one was allowed to go, all the Championship sides froze your ST or gave your money back(we obviously included viewing in it) and only 2500 paid per game absolutely pathetic and basically impossible that little in a Lockdown where watching.

All season ticket holders got the home games free though - so it’s not a fair comparison 👍

That is presuming that the EFL have released the correct figures and they are not skimming off the top 👀

Not every club did that some refunded the fans and none of the Championship clubs did what we did and they only averaged 2.5k paying a game not a cat in hell.

what VPN's are people (theoretically) using? Surfshark doesnt appear to work for Luxembourg or any of the other countries!

Many clubs in all three EFL divisions gave ‘free’ access to home games on ifollow.
Even so 42 million is a pittance I'd have expected ten times that in a pandemic.
Nope no one gives a toss as we have a something for nothing culture be it music, cinema or watching live football and the figures prove that.

Please help! I have never had any issues before.
I use ExpressVPN and all of a sudden can not purchase the game!
I can get the international season pass but not the game
I have tried all the above and still not working

Was using Surfshark which has worked on every match I’ve tried to access so far. Managed to buy the TV ticket from Luxembourg but couldn’t view the game! Logged in to ExpressVPN and took their 30 day free trial - got access to the game also Luxembourg. So ExpressVPN looks like the VPN of choice.
