Looking at the squad
20 senior players played on Friday
3 missing
Yates
Lavery
Gabriel
Makes 23
I feel we still need
1 left sided center half
1 goal machine

And possibly 2 out and out wingers
Therefore we need to move 3 or 4 players out

Possible Tharme and Virtue

With the right players in we will have a very strong team, putting money on promotion

I think we probably have 20 because out of the 22 that started take out 2 keepers + Apter, Holmes and Moore then add back the 3 injured players.
I do agree about that we need to ship out 2 or 3 but not sure who the potential casualties are. I'd certainly add Dale to your list.
 
I dont think you will see 2 wingers coming in, possibly one. Lyons & Thompson are going to be used as wing backs. From my view Thompson was hugging the touch line on Friday every time we ventured forward. In a 18 man squad it might be a luxury we cant have if we play 3 at the back.

I can possibly see a RB coming in and Lyons being used as a winger instead.

Gabriel's injured (again) and Connolly isn't a RB and might be needed elsewhere.

If Lyons is to play as a winger, then bringing in e.g. Regan Poole, on a free, would leave us with two specialist RB's with Conolly and Lyons both in the squad as utility players able to cover multiple positions.

Connolly may not be a specialist in any position, but is adequate to cover 3 positions. Not sure I can think of many goals against where he was culpable.
I believe Gabriel is back on the grass, so not far off

That's the point, he covers 3 or 4 positions, so you can't regard him as a specialist RB, because he might be needed elsewhere.
 
Virtue is an interesting one. Did he go out on loan under Critch in the Championship or was that just under Appleton last season. Only ask that as Critch does seem to have a soft spot for him.
