Telling our players to fk off ………

The lack of confidence and belief the players have is evidenced in every away game and it’s purely down to Critchley and his 2 stooges and their stubbornness with the formation / tactics the players are clearly uncomfortable with!
I understand a new manager in Appleton would want to bring in his, own backroom staff, but if the powers that be rated the 2 stooges surely they would have insisted they stay, but we were happy to get rid. Only to bring them back a year later, which I genuinely struggle to comprehend

Have to admit , the amount of fans flicking the v’s and telling our players to fk off was surprising yesterday . At the end of the day , they are honest , and trying the best they can under a manager who is negative . They don’t go out there to purposely lose - and they wear the tangerine shirt . Just thought it was a bit harsh imo

I hate that too. It’s not like they’re not trying? I just think formation and actually the quality of players mainly isn’t enough for success. They’re man for man not as good as the 2020 team regardless of formation.

Not great.
I left the ground on 90 at Wigan because I knew the players were going to get it.
I’ll do the same on Monday if we are getting beat🫣

It’s total sht to be honest and very disrespectful- the lads have gone out there and tried , to then come over to say thanks to the fans for trying to spur them on , to be met with a load of abuse . Not going to help one bit - you could see it in their faces that they were gutted - no need to rub salt in the wounds .
Would be interesting to see how the lads performed under a differnet formation and to their strengths

The players don't have to do what the manger instructs them to do.

Hearing a lot of talk about the formation and system the managers got them playing… it’s important to remember that we were playing second in the league Derby who are a very good side that don’t concede many goals at all. We did have some golden opportunities to go ahead before and after they scored. I think if we had put away our chances we had before they scored, the game would have been wide open and we’d at least got a point out of it. The passing back and lack of options going forward was mainly due to them having 11 men behind the ball and being a very tough side to break down. We still had chances in the second half despite this. So rather than the manager and system, my main criticism would be the finishing. A lot of sitters swiped at just lacking that composure/quality in front of goal. It’s easy to blame our lads and hard to praise a good opponent when you’re frustrated but after a few hours to reflect, that’s all it comes down to for me.

Our fans are dicks at times

Tbh I didn’t feel Derby’s team (on this occasion) was particularly good . Another missed opportunity masterminded by our highly qualified coach .

It's funny isn't it that we blame the tactics and the formation (of which I'm not a fan myself) but we missed 3 golden chances to score and then poor defending led to their goal. That's not really a formation or tactic issue but a player quality issue.
As for v flicking, nah its not for me, they are not trying to lose on purpose so I don't really think it helps things but is always gonna happen after the away performances this season.

We need a player mutiny mid game, change the shape/ formation mid game if we're losing. Half of them are leaving in the summer anyway, what have they got to lose 🤣

Aye, it's not on although frustrations are starting to boil over. Monday needs to see us set off with real intent or I they can expect more of the same.

They put a shift in yesterday and played okay, it was the tactics that let them down, they deserved to be clapped and cheered off the pitch. Critchley however, should have got pelters.

We did miss three chances - but we also had 11 men defending a corner in the last minute of the game - we also spent half the match passing it around aimlessly at the back

Regardless of your opinion of Critchley there have been too many individuals in that squad who have underperformed or been exposed as not that good.

Would I boo them or tell them to fk off ?

Nah prefer the understated walk off - I'm nearly 60 ffs !!

Some sanity amongst the Critchley hate fest on here. If we had gone all out the chances are we would have been 3 down after 30 minutes. It was actually a good game of football between two decent sides at this level. We lack a bit of quality at both ends of the pitch but all in all we matched 2nd place, in their own back yard in front of 30k supporters. We are not far off.

It’s just a shame in the last 20 minutes , 1-0 down , we pass it backwards constantly . Derby were more than happy for us to do that .
Then defend a corner with 11 men in the box with a minute left .

Only so many times we can say “ we’re not far off “

We are in the mix with 6 games to go, the odds are that we will fail this year, but this season hasn't been a disaster like last season was. Following any club will be disappointing at times, that's life. If you want guaranteed success support Man City.

Almost all those individuals look like a fish out of water with Crotchless's formation.

It’s not something that I would do…I do genuinely think the players give there best but are hamstrung by tactics/ formation…

No mate that’s not it. The tactics and the formation worked well against a top side away. It was the quality of finishing when we got into those golden situations where we just lacked composure. If Dembele stops that cross for their goal, we leave with a point or more since the game would still be wide open. We looked the better side overall it’s just that some of our players left their shooting boots at home. I hate to say it because he’s usually a little wizard, but Dembele was the weak link at derby especially when tracking back. Sure he will be back better against Wycombe but he did not perform. Can’t fault the system whatsoever it gave us more than enough chances to score.

Why would I support Man City when I have been a pool fan for 45 years

I didn’t flick the vs or boo the players. I waited for our dickhead to manager to sheepishly come over to do all that
I often think that's where anger can be misdirected. Were the supporters waiting for Ditchley and it's been misinterpreted that they were booing the players rather than the manager?
