Thankfully it’s just a game and our opinions are often wrong anyway.

Disappointed we didn’t bring anyone in. Especially after Critchley indicated we expected some signings. Especially disappointing having seen some of the signings our league rivals have completed.

Results haven’t been brilliant so far either and I must admit I am disappointed at the limited communication coming from Simon Sadler in particular - he’s changed his approach from when he first joined.

That all being said. We’ve got a squad of decent players and a highly skilled and competent manager.

Whether we signed X, Y or Z it doesn’t really matter. We could have signed Messi and he may have got injured falling off a stool and never actually stepped foot on the pitch. We could have kept Apter for 4 more months and he may have played 20 minutes here and there and never kicked on.

We play Wigan today and the squad is the squad. I’ll drive over to the seaside shortly, see my family and watch a game with my dad. I’ll talk tactics and whinge with the fans around me and like most weeks my predictions will be blown out of the water by half time.

It’s only a game. It’s only 5 games in. We could get relegated. We could walk the League. Sit back, watch the ride. No point getting upset.

More decent than the players that got relegated last season? Highly skilled and competent manager? You're throwing around accolades like confetti? Do you think QPR fans would agree with you? Up to now he's played a system with his choice of players resulting in no goals and eroded the confidence of players by playing them out of position for no reason whatsoever. He also seems bereft of a plan B. I think he may well be a competent coach but he's yet to prove himself as a manager for me.

Sadler / the club never even communicated anything about the club relegation !! That must be a first for all league club’s to not formally recognise that and put out some form of statement out

Simon Sadler communicates when he's having his arse kissed, for the first couple of seasons when things went well he was happy to talk to the fans, last season and this, not a dickie bird.

Brilliant post -

cringe worthy o/p in my opinion. Been making excuses for the last month or so of what's happening at BFC and he's backed himself into a corner he's nothing left to say but "it's just a game and our opinions are often wrong". The transfer window has been a joke.
Still stand by everything I’ve said this last month and 1 day doesn’t change that you clown. In fact - that’s quite literally the point of the o/p.

I’ve consistently criticised the clubs communication.

Consistently called Critch a top coach

Consistently said our fans on the whole (well on here) are clueless

And consistently said footballs just a game and all the adults acting like petulant little children are embarrassing.

Agree with most of that.
Apart from I don’t think Critchley is as competent a no 1 as we think.

And Sadler changed his communicating style after various attempts by fans to undermine his every move , particularly the vociferous numpties who threatened to head down to the training ground and cause chaos last season. Although it’s only a small number of our fanbase who behave this way, it’s the loudest, and mutual respect between fans and Sadler was lost at that juncture I feel.

Maybe just maybe it is you that is clueless..have you considered that? If you don’t understand why people are showing disapproval and getting pissed off about our decline then it is you that doesn’t understand football. How about we dare to dream and expect better for this great club. At present many at the club and many of the fans are showing little ambition and we have become little old Blackpool again … the club that sells its best players for buttons and make lowball offers that will never be accepted so has to rely on free transfers and old crocks.

‘Our decline’ Jesus wept.

I acknowledge I’m clueless. All fans our.
I just don’t live in a fantasy world where an owner spunks millions of quid on a club like Blackpool. I’m happy to see us grow organically and sensibly and I recognise that for the time being we’ll be punching above our weight in the Championship and therefore likely to be relegated until the infrastructure ultimately catches up. We need a bit of luck and some astute signings to get us promoted. Those signings don’t appear to have happened yesterday so I’m disappointed. It’s not the end of the world though. There’s every chance we do still make a good go of it this year and do challenge at the right end. We could still get promoted. It’s 5 league games in ffs. I’m half the age of some of the regulars on here - but I’ve still seen my fair share of dross as a Blackpool fan and this squad, this manager and the current situation the club finds itself in is quite far removed from those low moments. A sense of perspective is required.

But my point isn't about one day is it? Yesterday was just the LAST day. Like I said, your thread title shows that you'd nowhere else to turn and all you had left in the locker to try and justify what's been happening or lack of it..

Think we are only 1 player off what we would consider a decent window. Unlucky with Joseph who I think will be a very good signing.

I don’t need anywhere to turn. My opinion on this message board means absolutely nothing. I stand by every opinion and comment I’ve made though 👍

You are quite entitled to your opinions but you do appear to have some kind of Walter Mitty syndrome.
