Can you park for free at Hounds Hill?
As long as your film doesn't go over 2 1/2 hours park for free at Sainsbury's for three hours and walk down. Can you park for free at Hounds Hill?
The Vue at Cleveleys suits me fine!
16 quid for the imax and 11 for standard I think. That's at peak times, off peak is 9 standard and imax is 14.More than a fiver and they can do one
Is it? Never done it before.Imax is worth the cost.
They should also show some interesting and none main stream films mid week which will attract a different crowd on nights when they are usually quiet.Report in the gazette today of a really good membership scheme for locals at the new cinema. Seems a really good answer to the cost issue to me.
How is watching a movie on IMAX better than a regular screen? - MAAC India Academy Animation & VFX Industry Blog – MAAC India Institute
Movie goers swear by the audio-visual quality that IMAX provides. The movie watching experience is enhanced. As a result the ticket prices for IMAX shows are much higher than the regular movies. Even though IMAX theatres were introduced in 1971, they gained popularity much later in the 2000s...www.maacindia.com
That's not massive compared to the original Odeon and ABC.
Not sure how big that was, but look at the pic earlier in the thread with someone stood in front of it, it's big these days compared to normal cinemas. That's not massive compared to the original Odeon and ABC.

Im certain i once read that the Odeon (now funny girls) was the 2nd largest cinema in the country behind one at Leicester Square
No but those were also massive auditoriums before they were split so most seats were much further from the screen. Also technology was much poorer thenThat's not massive compared to the original Odeon and ABC.

Other than not having Alia being born , I didn't see much difference. I loved the film, what did you dislike?Just been to the Vue tonight with Mrs SPS courtesy of my Sky VIP free tickets.
Watched Dune 2; very disappointed with it. Herbert will be turning in his grave with the changes Villenueve made to the story!
Looks good if you are mad into National Theatre productions or Ghostbusters.Streets from Blackpool's £21m extravaganza, a 'different' experience awaits
"Ours is more of a experience, well both are experiences, but there's a slightly different atmosphere with ours. Hopefully we can work alongside one another"www.lancs.live
Certainly a spooky place at night in there I imagine.Looks good if you are mad into National Theatre productions or Ghostbusters.
Loved the first movie, the second less so.Other than not having Alia being born , I didn't see much difference. I loved the film, what did you dislike?
Wait is that a thing now? Haven't seen anything about it.£1 to park at Houndshill car park for 3 hours any longer normal hourly charges on top.
Decent food able to take a beer to your seat, comfy seats with charging points, courteous staff a great addition to our town.
Only problem film was a bit crap(Amy Winehouse).
In the Cinema you register you Car Reg on a touch screen to claim your £1 parking in Houndshill.Wait is that a thing now? Haven't seen anything about it.
Excellent, I suggested something like that, makes sense to do it.In the Cinema you register you Car Reg on a touch screen to claim your £1 parking in Houndshill.
Not sure JJ how it works(ate in Diner and had a couple of pints cab home)just saw the machine to put in your Car Reg and the £1 offer.Excellent, I suggested something like that, makes sense to do it.
There's obviously free parking on certain streets at certain times, but this makes it a lot easier, a quid is nowt.
Do you get a ticket or a code to put into the machine in HH?
Also if you go after the shopping centre is closed, do you go in the same entrance, is that bit still open? As the carpark doesn't close until 11:30...
Ahh right, so with the updated camera system it should now potentially be capable of recognising locals maybe, if they do the free or cheap winter parking deals to help support town centres or whatever, maybe.... rather than downloading an app to get the quid parking. Not sure JJ how it works(ate in Diner and had a couple of pints cab home)just saw the machine to put in your Car Reg and the £1 offer.
The machine was upstairs just before entrance to screens so I presume it's payment as normal in HH.
I know they've finally sorted the problematic barriers which where allways breaking down and now have a Camera system and this is taken from the Gazette.View attachment 19048
The back entrance of Houndshill next to cinema was certainly open after the shops had closed.
Looks like it must have only just been implemented that scheme as they're only just advertising it now.Not sure JJ how it works(ate in Diner and had a couple of pints cab home)just saw the machine to put in your Car Reg and the £1 offer.
