He is capable of scoring good goals, he has reasonably good pace, he can bring others into play, he is loyal to The 'Pool and a dedicated servant. So...why oh why is it not happening for the lad? He's missing sitters, goes missing for large periods, gets in the way instead of being a useful target for an out-ball. He's an enigma.
 
I saw someone say yesterday that at the start of the season if you were asked should Fonz be a first team player or a squad member, I think most would have gone for squad player. Great impact player, great servant to the club and I hope he stays for many years to come but the fact is we need better in that position if we're to progress.
 
Said elsewhere he has good spells and bad spells. He's currently in a bad spell. A very bad one.

I certainly think we need better and a more consistent player soon.
 
Im a Fonz fan, one of our better players on his day just going through a dodgy spell. Maybe hes still suffering a Grayson hangover.

Im sure wel see him back to his best under NC.
 
If we wish to move forward we cannot make decisions on sentiment, at the moment at best he is a squad player (for any team looking at promotion) up to him now till the end of the season to prove he is worth more in the plans for next season. At the moment I’m unsure !!!

Yesterday he was garbage there is a player in him some where but to inconsistent blows hot and cold to much hopefully critchley can bring the best out of him otherwise he needs to be replaced
 
1 goal in 7 games for the mighty over all the teams he’s been in??
If we were looking for a new striker next season and expect to get 7 goals from him you’d pass.
 
He does tend to run into blind alleys but is that because other players are not making the runs?
I don't remember many occasions where he should of brought someone else into play who was in a better position. Again a good servant for the club but that should not justify a place in the team or squad

Tends to run towards the ball or takes up positions square of the action rather than finding space for himself. The last three or four games his first touch has been atrocious.
 
I like him his first thought is to go forward and attack not like some bores who prefer to past sideways or back.
Like KaiKai when he played when it works they have a 8 out of 10 game but when it doesn't they become a 5 or 6 out of ten.
What has shook it up is the young lads since January who have come into the side and they are way better than we have.
 
Agree with others. Too inconsistent and unlikely to change. Striker/winger/midfield/wing back. Hard to work out where his best position is.
He's said himself "he needs to kick on" after a couple of decent games. He doesn't though. The chance he had yesterday was our best and was typical of him to sky it over.
 
I said at the game yesterday that he's good between the halfway line and the area, but he goes to pieces when he gets near goal. He should've buried that chance yesterday.

Bloody great clapper though 👏
 
It's the story of our season the link up play from our attacking players has been crap and it's up to Neil to sort out.
 
Always seems to shine when his contract is up? not for me, although he plays better without gloves,see he,s gone back to them.
