Lennox was the best. He laid them all to rest.
Anyone dispute that LCL is the greatest heavyweight ever?
Please don't nominate Mike Tyson. A great street fighter, but not in the top 50 heavyweight boxers.
Nonsense, Lewis knew how to win he would have risen to any occasion.Lewis may have been good but Cassius Clay would have boxed his head odd
Aye, nonsenseNonsense, Lewis knew how to win he would have risen to any occasion.
Yawn, it's a bollox argument as it never happened!Ali would have beaten Lewis all day long. Smarter, faster and more skillful. Not even close.
Good fighter was Ali. Maybe the second best ever. Not quite good enough to beat Lewis thoughAli would have beaten Lewis all day long. Smarter, faster and more skillful. Not even close.
Hell fire someone will suggest Richard Dunn nextBugner.
I could have beat Bugner.Bugner.
Rocky Marciano, the longest serving undefeated heavy weightI doubt Lennox even thinks he's up there with the 70s bunch of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton.
You've got to remember when Ali retained his title in Zaira and had those brutal wars with Frazier he was 10 years past his peak and had lost four years of his career.
Joe Louis might be better than the lot of them.
I think you can compare, especially to the 70s, it's the same when people argue about footballers, the talent hasn't got any better and anyone from a different era would have had the same benefits had they been around now.Rocky Marciano, the longest serving undefeated heavy weight
At just over 5ft 8 inches tall and 13 and a half stone, he often gave away 6 inches and 2 stone in weight.
He beat them all, including Joe Louis. He often got battered but always found a way to win.
Every boxer above has lost fights, Marciano didn't. He beat the best that were around in them days.
You can't compare era's as the human race has got taller and heavier over the years and training techniques
have improved massively.
You can compare facts and Marciano remained undefeated for 49 fights.
But imagine is all you can do, its not a comparison.I think you can compare, especially to the 70s, it's the same when people argue about footballers, the talent hasn't got any better and anyone from a different era would have had the same benefits had they been around now.
Imagine Pele, Maradona, Best etc..with todays training, sciences and protection in matches.

Brian once told me in Layton Institute that Ali wouldn't let him fall down. Held the back of his head and kept hitting him with uppercuts.Blackpool’s Brian …. That was a good fight
Ttj … I heard that one too from someone. He was brutal and he perfected a jab that whipped which caused so many cuts on opponentsBrian once told me in Layton Institute that Ali wouldn't let him fall down. Held the back of his head and kept hitting him with uppercuts.
