If they're spooked by Woke crap like this then they need to grow a pair or employ someone who has!!

Arranges cleaning seats and closed fans forums, otherwise is as bad as the rest of his cronies for this kind of absolute bile of slating fellow Blackpool fans for displaying passion in a different way to them, and trying to tell people how he/they thinks they have to behave!!

It's a football match, chanting with naughty words has been a part of it for all of most people's living memory, if people don't like naughty words then watch netball or Rugby Union it's as simple as that!!

I wonder if the utter moron who complained to the club about 'tits and fannies' realises they've made absolutely sure that song will be sung louder and more often tomorrow than it ever would have been normally!!

The mind boggles 🙄🤯

Always gets my goat when they fine football clubs for fans chanting offensive songs.

I mean what do they expect the club to do to stop it? A club rightly can be held responsible for fans getting in the ground carrying weapons as it's the clubs job to ensure they're searched properly, but how can any club do anything to stop what comes out of some fans mouths?

Ridiculous state of affairs.
 
If clubs start getting fined for stuff like this, of course they are going to react. If it continues on its current course with the FA, growing a pair does what? Gets us increased fines and sanctions. Can't exactly expect the club to just suck it up.

Completely agree it’s going the way of the woke world we live in today.

The one place you could shout out your weeks frustration and anger was on a Saturday afternoon at the match and no one ever minded even the coppers.

What next ban singing altogether? because it’s coming if these lunatics win. 🤬

No, if everyone stood up to the FA they'd have no choice but to back down.

But If you're happy for woke stuff like this to come into the game then each to their own, but over a period of time it'll completely sanitise and ruin football as it's been known for decades, then the FA will soon start moaning when revenue streams are effected because people don't want to go to games anymore

Then it needs to start from a team that can actually afford to take such hits so that others follow suit.

As women are more successful than men at football and more and more women go to matches, maybe our Blackpool ladies fans can sing their own version of this cringy song.

Football's been sanitised ever since money took over. That said, I'd rather watch a match without the third rate, hand-me-down, puerile chanting and the hooliganism that used to accompany it.
 
Dear me. Never do I feel my age more on this board then when I see adults horrified at the idea of progressive thoughts and creating welcoming and inclusive places for all members of society. Pining for the days of casual homophobia, misogyny and racism because it was the obviously so much better then 😂 And ‘woke’ being used as some sort of criticism ! It’s laughable really

I remember being about 6 and hearing...

"Your sister is your mother..." for the first time. Dad said I could sing it at the match but not at home because Mum would tell him off.

Another match I took an overseas student from Bangladesh to his first football match at Bolton away. I had to explain that yes...the chant is "Fuck off home, and shag your dogs" 😄
 
I think we all know what the naughty words that we shouldn’t use. The list is undoubtedly getting longer but I agree with a lot of it, I wouldn’t want to be in a stadium where there were racist chants for example.

I don’t have a problem with tits and fannies because I think it comes from a place of humour rather than abuse. It is a shit chant though.

I get where you're coming from, and (hopefully) nobody wants a return to the days of monkey chants and chucking bottles of piss at each other.

There's a middle ground though where it feels a bit too authoritarian to start policing what people sing...with fines and banning orders.
 
Whats happened to football being a tribal sport? All we seem to get from the game now is continuous political correctness & what can and can’t be said or done. No wonder all the good people from Soccer Saturday left. Le Tiss went cause he spoke out about the virus. Stelling went cause he couldn’t deal with all the new woke nonsense. You can’t say Man or the Match anymore. Swearing on the terrace can now be reported. If it’s racist or some form of discrimination, that is clearly offensive, then fair enough, it needs addressing. If it’s just banter in the stands…. Get a grip.
