We've had one or two on here saying that they won't get the vaccines.
What will they do now?
Will they just. stop going, or will they get vaccinated?
Of course it could all have been just 'Look at me, I don't care about the vaccime'.

They can take a lateral flow test instead.
 
You can go to games if you have a negative test, just people who are vaccinated don't have to provide one, just proof they've been vaccinated.

Even if you've been vaccinated you can still get covid and still pass it on.... So surely in this situation people who are double jabbed are more dangerous than people who have provided a negative test?

They'll have to get a regular test, which falls in with what the government wants. Or they'll lie.
The unvaccinated should be grateful for the people flooding to get vaccinated now - the more vaccinated, the better chance the unvaccinated have got of getting a bed in ICU.

Short term, yes, but it's encouraging people to get the booster asap.
And the point of the passports is to encourage as many people as possible to either get vaccinated or at least test regularly.

Further evidence that this is more about backing people into getting vaccinated I suppose?

It’s a pain, but if it works then it is very snidy, but way better than compulsory jabs for me.

I have a staff member unvaccinated, there’s some jobs he can’t go on due to this and he’s knocked going to the games on the head. His personal choice and I respect that.

I’m unvaccinated so will be testing twice a week, including on match days.
Won’t matter by January when we’re all in full lockdown

Find out why so many of the “jabbed” are in hospital. Does it not even register with you, you’ve had 3 jabs now, they’re talking about a fourth, and you can still take the virus, you can pass it on. Gibraltar is the most vaccinated country in the world, and they’re in lockdown!!!! If your eyes aren’t open now, I feel for you, they never will be.

Probably had about 20 jabs before Covid came along.

You probably don't realise but virtually everybody alive today owes their life to vaccination programmes carried out over the past 200 years or so.

It's that protection which stopped rampant diseases in the past, sometimes making it mandatory for whole populations, that allowed humanity to grow to its current population.

It’s also interesting at the hypocritical tone where death can be joked regarding the unvaccinated about but if you mention the older population dying anyway you’re labelled as some bad human.

The risk of dying of Covid is much higher than dying because of the vaccine, but this changes quite dramatically the younger you are.
My view is that we've given every opportunity for those who want vaccine protection to get it (I've been double jabbed), but I strongly disagree with making it mandatory and I'm uncomfortable with coercing people into getting it. So this really now needs to be managed in exactly the same way as flu is - an annual jab for the elderly and vulnerable, and then everyone can get back to normal. If you then catch it and suffer as you haven't been jabbed, then it's on you.

We're being governed by 24hr news channels, and we're also in danger, I believe, of routinely managing future health crises by social restriction instead of investing in the NHS to increase its capacity (which ultimately will prove cheaper).

I was listening to a epidemiologist talking about the new variant. He explained that we are not yet at the stage where we can treat this disease as ‘just another cold/flu’ , but that we could well be nearer the answer come the end of January. By then there will be plenty of data available and it could be very good news .
I must say I am also uncomfortable with forcing people to have a jab, but those who choose not to be vaccinated once infected are likely to contribute to super spreading , they are likely to be shedding far more of the virus than someone vaccinated . So is it right to allow that individual to jeopardise others health ?
Deaths from flu are substantially lower than covid due to one important development , the annual flu vaccination. We are not at that point with covid…….yet.
Analysis of data from the ZOE COVID Study shows that one in five ZOE Study participants who tested positive for COVID didn’t go on to have detectable anti-N antibodies afterwards, so they remain at risk and remain a risk to others until they have the vaccine (all 3 ) which lowers the risk dramatically.
I never worry about covid for myself but for those who cannot have the vaccine for medical reasons and the elderly I do .

People who have been vaccinated are not more dangerous to the doctors and nurses charged with caring for people who become seriously ill with Covid though. Imagine being a doctor or nurse coping with a stream of people who decided vaccination wasn't for them. They must be getting very frustrated. And imagine missing out on treatment for other conditions because of the burden on hospitals of people who decided not to get vaccinated.
 
Well wont the non vaxers at the NHS be out of a job come April ?? Mandatory jabs.

I think you’re missing the point, there are thousands of people who are vulnerable to the virus due to underlying health issues or simply age. They’re the ones we’re protecting by having the vaccine.

Well I had my first one a year ago and the booster a couple of months ago and feel absolutely fine thanks.

It doesn't hurt really, would a sugar cube be better for you?

Some are some aren’t, and even boosted your apparently only 70/75% protected. So you’ve a one in four chance of catching it. The benefit of the booster though is that you hopefully, won’t have serious illness, but if they have other health issues it could be serious.

No, just be sensible, look after yourself and others how ever you see fit. Of course life has to go on, but let’s just do the right thing for now. This virus will decline in severity and vaccines will improve to combat it in time and hopefully next year

Interestingly some of the frightened ones are happy to share a stadium with them and thousands of other strange people who may be covid positive .

Hypocrites everywhere.

Apparently it would have been age discrimination for the elderly to shield while the young went about their lives as they were and still are at minimal risk to the virus.

However, these same people now want the unvaccinated to be stopped from participating in life, while the elderly are free, & that’s just fine.

People have been so infantilised that they want someone else to make all decisions for them.

Grown adults. Pathetic,
