We seemed to play pretty well today and at times a far better team that looked like winning. Was a bit disappointed about the result.....

But then again certain players along with the team at times today just looked pretty ** Sunday league....
** annoyed when You know how good the players and team are.. But somehow can show you how they can look a bit shit....

Plenty if endeavour and great attitude from our players, but we seriously lack final ball quality - and that's what costs money. It's why Brennan Johnson is considered more valuable than Bowler, and I like Bowler.

Everyone has assumed midfield is our main problem (including me), but I think our full backs need equal attention. The difference when Gabriel is in the team is huge, and we have no adequate backup. Also, we've played most of the season with either a right back at left back (Sterling) or a centre half playing there (Hubby).

A last minute goal was gutting but doesn't change the fact that we're a decent side that's in need of a midfielder with a final ball, and a couple of quality full backs in order to make further progress.

and a n other striker

Let's face it we're way weaker without the base provided by players like Dujon, Jordan, Keogh, Grimmy. Players have been brought in who are finding their way back or maybe not the standard needed. The opposition might have played pretty shit but they were WBA after all. Getting done by defendable crosses like that is particularly galling.

Forget the point. We need to win matches and our build up play suggests we can. It's that final third: Bowler's crap crosses, Anderson failing to take on the shot. We need opposition teams to dread our attacks - but they don't. That's the problem.
"Get yer cheque book out Sadler!" There, problem solved

And somebody who isn’t frightened to have a shot instead of abdicating responsibility.

Tactically we were woeful. However the first 20 minutes was the best football we have played in months, if Keshi, Husband and Gazza weren't so shot shy we could have easily been 2 or 3 up by half time.

Husband is a left back who fills in at centre half. You have that the wrong way round!

I think he's a better centre half than left back. He doesn't offer enough going forward to play the left back role (like Gabriel does). Either way, Hubby's spent periods out injured too anyway!

Too many missed open spaces and too much indecision in front of goal cost us dearly today. Bloody infuriating.

Yeah, I feel quite down after that one too. Hope next season is kinder to us injury wise if nothing else.
Strange isn't it - thankfully nothing to play for but you come to expect sucker punches following Blackpool - amazed to be honest it didn't happen against Blackburn. Monday is obviously not a big game, but so this season doesn't spiral in to disappointment, we could do with a nice win.

It was you who said we need to win matches so come on, I'm all ears how do we do it?
Soz, a bit late coming back.
Well, shop for signings that we can afford: experienced, late in their careers (Keogh) but for players with proven crossing ability. No, I don't know who. Combine that with canny loans for under 23 Premier lads. We did very well with Simms, Ballard and Sterling. There will be others out there.
