The Over the line debate .

Do they not have the angle directly above the goal? Would be interesting to see that but the other pictures do make it look over the line, I was lead to believe the goal line technology is almost 100% accurate (think Villa stayed up on a dodgy decision like that though).

It's nice to be on the right side of a dodgy decision for once though, I'm sure plenty will go against us over the season as it goes on so I'll take it

Nowhere near as obvious as the goal we scored against QPR last season, GLT proved it today! Why is it even being discussed?

Why do we care? Not our problem. I just hope our defenders learn to react like Grimshaw did in future. Play to the whistle, it's like protect yourself at all times, basics.

You know when they take corners these days which looks outside of the quadrant, and they look down on the football and there is the tiniest fraction over the white line and so they crack on; I think this is the same.

It would be really interesting to see what the GLT image looks like

IF it's over, it's unlucky for them, and lucky for us.

IF it's not, we've seen the two best saves of the season in one today.

From the BBC match report:

Huddersfield Town head coach Danny Schofield said he feels goalline technology "has got it wrong" as his side were denied an equaliser in their 1-0 defeat to Blackpool.

Theo Corbeanu scored his third goal in four games to secure the win for the Tangerines and pile more misery on the Terriers, finding the net shortly before half-time on the counter-attack, tucking away a rebound after Ian Poveda hit the post.
Yuta Nakayama thought he had scored a second-half equaliser for Huddersfield but Blackpool keeper Dan Grimshaw produced two superb saves to deny him from close range, as the referee and goalline technology ruled the ball had not gone in.

Blackpool climb up to 11th but Huddersfield remain in the bottom three with only one win this season.

The victory means Blackpool ended a run of three games without victory and also a winless streak at the John Smith's Stadium that goes back to 2007.

Huddersfield, who were beaten by Bristol City in midweek, have now lost six of their eight matches in the league this season.

'We feel the ball was clearly over the line'

The talking point of the match, however, came midway through the second half as Nakayama thought he had equalised for the Terriers from a corner, even running off starting his celebrations.

Grimshaw kept out his first header and the follow-up effort at the near post was ruled to have not gone over the line, despite insistence from Huddersfield that it had crossed.

Schofield spent a lengthy period after the full-time whistle speaking with the match officials and said he would appeal against the decision if the club are able to.

"It's a difficult one to take. Straight after the game I went to the bench and watched the footage back and felt clearly it was a goal," Schofield told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I wanted that clarity in my mind before I asked the referee to explain the reason behind not awarding it because I feel as though it's a clear goal.

"Watching it back on different angles as well we feel the ball was clearly over the line.

"He's pointed as his watch so he's governed by Hawkeye or goal-line technology - he's making the decision on that. If that's the case, I'm not blaming the referee for his decision, it's very difficult without the technology to make it.

"But if that's the case it feels like technology has got it wrong this time."

Blame the Huddersfield groundsman who drew the line similar to this one.

But I suppose that wipes out Dougalls shocker vs QPR.

A good three feet over! Shocking decision and we'd be going mad if it was the other way round.
Exactly. If it was 3 feet over everybody would have seen it. Neither the referee, the linesman - who would have been stood on the goal line - or GLT gave it which suggests it didn't go in.
These pictures from the halfway line, I could position the ball in such a way that wouldn't be over but looked over.
Unless somebody comes out and says the technology didn't work the whole of the ball clearly didn't cross the line.

Look at the photo, it's miles over, it's behind Grimshaw's leg!

Would you need GLT to give that? I wouldn't. The thing we're assuming to be the ball is miles over from that photo.

So whats the obvious conclusion?
The obvious conclusion is the ref didn’t give it and we won 0-1. Happy to help.

I'm sure goal line technology was switched off to compensate us for the failure to give us a penalty for Jerry having his shirt taken off by the Blackburn defender in the penalty area last Wednesday.
