My family organised a surprise 60th birthday bash for me last night which was well attended with many Seasiders present.

My daughter Jodie contacted Charlie Patino online and begged him to pop in on his way home from Coventry. Amazingly he came with his Dad. It was a fantastic surprise for myself and family and friends.

They both stayed and chatted with everyone for hours and posed for photos.

What a grounded young man. His dad is a top bloke too.

We couldn’t let him go without a rendition of his pool song which he actually joined in with.

Thanks Charlie and Charlie’s Dad 🍊🍊🍊

That’s absolutely brilliant stuff! A lovely gesture. Charlie seems to have as much class off the pitch as he does on it! 😁

That’s amazing 🥰
Hope you had a great birthday 🥳

Brilliant...is Charlie's dad staying up here...in an interview it sounded like Charlie was in digs in Lytham or somewhere with a couple of other players.

Happy birthday Hadley and what a great surprise for your sixtieth 👍😁

Ps
Where was the invite for your fellowship of AVFTT ers? 😆😆

Top, top story. Belated birthday greetings Hadley - sounded an ultra special day. As for Charlie and his dear ‘old’ Dad - just brilliant. Do we really have to let you go back to Arsenal? Will be an utterly sad day.

you can see by the way he handles interviews he has had a really good family behind him
true class in a football sense but more important true class in a personal sense
he is so mature
best loan player since seamus coleman and look what he went on to achieve
lets not forget the role michael appleton has played in signing him but also mentoring him
charlie is also helped by the likes of gary madine james husband etc dont mess with charlie is message to other team
we are lucky to have him lets value the time as it will be short

That's fantastic😍

No his dad lives St Albans ,he drove to Coventry to pick Charlie up so they could get to Hadleys in time as they thought the coach wouldn’t get back early enough, now that’s a tremendous gesture 👍🏻
the most popular word on this thread is class.

he's a class act on and off the pitch. how lucky we are.

What a fantastic 60th birthday for you. The Mighty Pool winning 2-1 would have been good enough for me on its own, but it just ended up being a part of your brilliant day.

Hadley,
I'll remember my 60th via yours. I hit the 'new 40' on Friday.
Weekend comprised:
Friday: Travelling over to Blackpool to watch Michael Ball & Alfie Boe (not my ideal, but it was fabulous ) - I drove.
Saturday: Drove significant other to deliver yoga teaching. Had a coffee, went out for lite lunch then back to hers Hesgoal feed failed - I drove
Sunday: Out for lunch with daughter & significant other. Daughter, "Dad can u pick me up so I can have a drink with you?"... Lovely meal and place - I drove.

So, Patino, when I'm 70 get Hadley's daughter to sort it!
