And as you'll know from your scouring of Wiki, flu and colds are hugely down over the last 12 months as a result of reduction in transmission opportunities.

No it's not. Staying in is reducing the risk of infection. Are you saying it's not?Irrelevant to the post you made.
Ask yourself, how proportionate is this?Notice Hancock is playing it tough over the prison terms
As if anyone would get 2 years never mind 10 years
The way to get tough on borders is not to let anyone in OR if they must compulsory quarantine them all taking them under guard straight from passport control to the nearest quarantine hotel
That would soon stop the 20k + ' essential travel ' journeys to a trickle
Proportionality and being seen to be tough are two separate topics.Ask yourself, how proportionate is this?
Bags of gravel, one shekelI can't understand the clamber for more and more draconian measures for the usual raft of hard left posters on here, take away our freedoms, liberties and our ability to even leave the house and it would not be enough. It'll be like watching the life of brian soon when someone comes back into the country 'and everyone is shouting 'Stone him'.

Point out once when I've said they've been too harsh. You can't because I've consistently pointed out the failings in implementing anything until it's been too late.Simple.
If the government tries to follow a moderate course they'll scream for tough measures and accuse them of costing lives, if the government goes for tough measures they'll call them extremists who are jailing poor people and if the government does both they'll complain about mixed messages.
It's not about public health, it's about complaining about what the government is doing whatever the government is doing.
*Awaits McCarthyite statements of 'Are you, or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?'Correct
I am another who've championed the vaccine rollout and before that the economic measures implemented to protect jobs
Not too surprisingly vaccine procurement was one job allocated to the right person who knew what she was doing and didn't prevaricate
I'm no leftie - I just can't believe the reactionary and down right idiotic policies that had led us to where we are
