The problem as i see it is this

Agree absolutely and I've got Wizaard getting personal with me for stating the damned obvious. 0-0 at home to dross is 2 points dropped. If it was Bolton, Wigan, Pompey et al away you'd take a point. Then to be told you are asking for too much makes you realised how many unhinged fans we have too.
I never said you were asking for too much, I said it's early days and the system is being developed and needs time to bed in. You can't expect to win every game. Football isn't like that.

We're 3 points off the top. Chill.

He has said he will, whether he does or not is another thing. Also how much will come in over the next 10 years, I'm sure that will be included. He needs to spend some money on some players instead of making crap managerial appointments and then having to pay them off when they turn out to be shit.

Yep let scepticism and cynicism be the starting point eh? Try and be happy dude, look on the bright side. Smell the roses. We have someone who is prepared to fund the club over the long term and isn't stupid enough to spunk his fortune on the whims of internet forum 'experts' :)

You seem pretty good at this stuff though, why not re-mortgage your house and fund a player?

Who would you buy?

You must be joking, I've said many times I would never own a football club even if I won the Euro millions 3 times on the bounce, it's a mugs game, I'm more than happy giving my expert advice from the sidelines, free of charge. 😂

No ,I want us to play football rather then just kicking up the pitch and hoping. What I am saying is the forwards and wingers were asking for service and were not getting it . I just would like more support for the attackers and its not happening because of the tactics we are playing.
'I just would like more support for the attackers and its not happening because of the tactics we are playing.'

And because of Critchley's insistence that he be allowed to continue to select his 'love-child' for the RWB spot'.

Truly beggars belief ...

I don't see the problem as the players - I think overwhelmingly they have all the attributes and, even under Critchley's system, we will probably turn a couple teams over this year particularly if we get an early goal

The issue for me is the one-dimensional aspect to our play - fine having a wing backs (but play them on their natural side) but they then got blocked it would seem by the two central midfielders who seem to rush to the wing when we have the ball leaving only Norburn in the middle. It is not surprising then that the only out ball is the diagonal and the ensuing lottery of whether we win the header or not.

I just wish we had a couple of alternative plays - one where the attacking midfield two come in to receive the ball off Ekpiteta or Norburn and then look to play it through on the ground for the wing backs or Lavery to pick up on. Or one where we pull the play over to one side of the pitch to free CJ up on the other (like the old days under Holloway)

At the moment we are too predictable and don't play to our strengths which is just so frustrating!

Bet Dobbie is secretly pulling his hair out. What must he be saying to Apter, Holmes, others in the development squad when the door of progression seems , currently, to have slammed shut again.
Apter is confident , creative , had a pass on him and a good footballing brain
Surely an off the bench option especially having seen the mostly turgid stuff so far

The defense brings it out and nobody shows for the ball. They're too far up the pitch. Result... esp Marv hangs on too long as there's no pass available, or he tries an over-ambitious narrow ball that's intercepted. Or they mess about at the back and give it back to Grimmy to hoof upfield where they all are, but we fail to get it or find space. It's Jackie Charlton revisited. Play in their half, hustle for throw-ins, and hope something happens.
And the reason for CJ - at corners, he stays back as cover - his pace would be hard to beat on the break. Surely there's a better way Neil?
