Saturday sees the 2 lowest spending teams pitted against each other. We have done terrifically well, but Luton were non-league 6 years ago and lost the League 2 play-off semi final against us 5 years ago. How brilliant have they been now they are knocking on the door of the PL?

Apparently not accurate as based on last accounts has us in league 1 still etc.

Bull Sh@t! Pool Seasider!

Point I make is that on THIS thread o/p is a little misty on his BFC history 😉😉🤔🤔
I must admit I didn't watch the semi-final or final. I did however buy the final programme from ebay (to make sure the Oystons didn't get 1p) and only just remembered it was Exeter, this to make sure I had the full collection of final programmes including all FA Cup Finals, Anglo Italian Cup, LDV and Play Off Finals.

Footnote: I do, now you mention it, vaguely remember seeing this game with no volume on in the Wetherspoons in Lancaster and OFC had taken the lead so I walked out of the pub. I wanted Luton to beat us because we were still Oyston FC!

mmmm...Wetherspoons don't have tv's and what sort of fan describes his club as tinpot?

That's true, but it's as accurate as you can possibly get. Any other figures are pure supposition.
Yeah, but its be interesting to see what we actually spent for this season.

This gives us mostly the season before i think.

I think well be around 5m maybe now? Apparently a tight ship and could be close to braking even maybe, whoknows.

Either way eere doing well with what we have and aren't going way beyond our means. Be much more interesting to see the next set of accounts.

The figures in the OP are just transfer fees paid for squad members whenever they were signed, presumably, not wages, which would make the spread a hell of a lot wider. And the top end figures more mind boggling.

What bullshit.
Wetherspoons do not have Sky TV.
Yea you supported Luton and Exeter

How wrong was that for the future of the club and where we are now.

I get your thought pattern, as all I could do was scowl through that Exeter game & watching 11 Oyston puppets running about, yes I wanted them to lose, such was my hatred. TBH I'd forgotten about Luton until it was mentioned recently. As things have turned out now I'm glad we won, but at the time I couldn't see any chink's of light.
