Your suggesting that if the far right use it, then it becomes tainted. Why do they get to decide the meaning of the flag?

If you read the whole thread. I’ve already agreed the word, misrepresented, is a far better choice than the word, tainted.

Oh and I’am not a member of the EDL before you confuse the two.

Just bought the Blackpool FC/England T-Shirt - just slightly embarrassed by the COSG on it, but still a nice T - the fact that a post about the Union Flag immediately brings up the old BNP arguments etc. Still shows the immediate response to its associations.

PS Last time I was in Edinburgh, the Union Flag was still flying side by side with the Saltire!

Wether it’s the only flag that should be flying, is up for debate
What’s not up for debate, is which is the best National Anthem, albeit unofficial.
Even though I’m English. “Land of my fathers” is, without a doubt, the most spine tingling Anthem you could wish to hear
