T'heatin on? Revisted

Had to put it on at work for a couple of hours in the morning as I work with a load of soft moaning women!

Not going on at home any time soon!!
 
There is alot of hot air in the Presidential (oh the irony) Suite on the 22nd floor of the Hyatt Regency in Brum tonight. It costs more than £2500 per night
 
It's wet but positively balmy here in Warrington and I'm still wearing my shorts for the school walks. Not before November in our house .... cold air .... bring it on 👍 🧡
PS: Unlike a lot of female & male posties, I won't be wearing my shorts when it gets cold 🤣
 
Today is the first day I’ve considered it, weird that it’s meant to be warmer here in London today but it definitely feels colder inside.
 
Not yet and just noticed that £66 from OVO will be going into my account tomorrow as opposed to being taken off my bill but i am in credit at the moment
 
Glorious day here in Kent so the resistance goes on. We are away or the whole of November so looking at 1st Dec for the switch on.

Funnily enough we did a test switch on 2 weeks back and nothing came on much to our horror. We then realised the thermostat had been switched off thank gawd.
 
Here's a cheap tip for you . B&M selling 2x thermal long sleeve t shirts for a tenner . Under a sweatshirt you'll be toasty.
 
No, because my boiler gave up the ghost on Tuesday 😳😡😡
Anyway, new one being fitted Monday and I will just shower in the rain till then 😱

No heating on yet, extra clothes on, laptop (or a cat or four) on my lap also keeps me warm. Luckily SS12 doesn't really feel the cold so that's good.

Won't be going on for at least a few weeks yet.
 
Finally succumbed - came back on Monday from 5 days in Holland. Did the washing on Tuesday, can't put it outside as it's raining every day, so it's on an airer indoors. FINALLY it was dry by Friday afternoon!!! So the heating has gone on for the benefit of the washing!
 
Currently building a huge extension (side and back). Gas was disconnected on Monday. No boiler since August. Immersion for hot water only. House won't be finished until Spring 2023. Will soon move in with the in-laws but gritting our teeth in the meantime. Holding off for as long as possible. Starting to get cold now though.
 
Still not on. Been out for a walk so it always feels better when you get indoors. Bought some good quality beers and decent food. Done a bit of cooking, plenty of eating and drinking. Came close, lit a couple more candles! Feel OK now. Probably go to bed and watch a film fairly soon. Making the most of a bad situation but there are people who will be feeling the cold already and there is much worse to come.
