They have just over a week to try and convince me

Serious player acquisition ahead of the first game and a strong start looking at those first few games is what’s required.

If we don’t and have the usual drawn out negotiations and time to gel excuses then that demonstrates the ambition level.

A nice positive statement from the owner outlying plans and his ambition for the coming season

I would also like to know what role Downes has and what his roles and responsibilities are and how that dynamic will work with Critchley

Must most of all i would like to see some decent signings coming into the club, as currently we look a mile off and have very little creativity in the squad
Best ask Downes for his terms of reference, should have the lines of authority and function on that.

Not really Robert

It's nice to see you posting again though

Just please done bore us all to death about the ** independent regulator
OK Philip, I will. As long as you also spare us your annual fit of existential angst about your season ticket purchase. **

** I fear I'm too late.....

I haven't been on here much over the last month, but I quite like the way the industrial moaning has diminished to a whimper. No doubt it'll be back in due course ... but maybe a lot have discovered how boring it is.

It's a footy team. Buy a ticket, have a few pints, moan about the team selection and get excited and full of hope for the new season!!!

I haven't decided what I'm doing

I may renew but equally I may not

Last season was horrible, probably one of the least enjoyable seasons I can remember in 40 years or so

Transport wank, football crap and a load of bad decisions from the board

It was a right effort to travel up and down the country most weeks
100%
It was a garbage season on and off.
Will watch many away games but few home - I ain’t optimistic at all - think we are decent but not good enough. IMHO four good signings and that small cloud above my head will go away.

To renew my 6 season tickets

Not holding my breath

what do you need exactly to be convinced?

I don't think you're going to get what you want if I am honest. It's still early days for signings, and I don't think Sadler is going to come out with a statement - because quite frankly why does he have to?

I need to be convinced that the owner has the same ambition for the season as I have because last season was a cluster fuck of incompetence

Because it’s good business. We just got relegated so acknowledge mistakes were made and learned from and outline how this year it will be different. Drum up trade. You earn business especially when normal mortals are dealing with rampant inflation just to live.

It's difficult not to feel unmotivated when we've just been relegated, and then completely underwhelmed when we learn that we're playing Burton first instead of someone like Middlesbrough or Leeds. There's no doubt about it, that's depressing. But I think one really good signing, just someone that is an indication of ambition, would sway most people to renew. It wouldn't take that much, but as it stands we have very little idea about what we're aiming for.

The club has announced that the head coach has changed. The sporting director has changed. The CEO has gone and two people promoted to fill his shoes. Quite a few players have been released. How different do you want it to be? And is it not a clear acknowledged that mistakes were made?

No it’s not. People quit. People were fired. People were hired who shouldn’t have been hired and who we knew had no skills working with the type of players we had. Decisions were made slowly and weaknesses in operations and in recruitment were not acknowledged or remedied in a timely manner. Too early to tell if lessons have been learned.

Dont really disagree but a lot of changes have been made with the intention of rectifying the mistakes. We cant know if the changes will succeed until we see more football. We have the changes and we know what the changes are, so its up to us what we choose to do.

Thec ** in the hat?

Jesus. 😆

Being a VIP, I have free tickets to 4 days so my decision is whether I go or not for free. None of it is my cup of tea - I only get excited at bands such as Ocean Colour Scene and Stone Roses.

Anyway, POTG at £26... at least it will be easy to sack it off when we go shit.

I bet some non season ticket holders will be moaning of the ticket allocation at Fleetwood.
Still remember the cry babies before ,Anfield 12 years ago?

Ok but you were agonising over buying a ticket a bit higher up.

No I will accept that.

There a pluses and negative to every decision. Negatives include might not get seats want, might end up paying more throughout the season, hassle of getting tickets every game, Fleetwood away, etc. Positives include no upfront costs, pick and choose who to go with whether Dad or Son, can sack it off when we inevitably loan kids aren't ready for men's football, etc.

The system is different now so I dont think any non ST holder will moan about not getting to ** Fleetwood

The banding system in the Premier league was made up nonsense as the club didn't expect to have the ticket problem

Just deciding that the longer you had a season ticket gave you away game privilege was lazy

Let's be honest most of our away crowds at the big local games resembled a happy clappy old folks day out

The process now is a lot better as it actually gives people who go to away games away ticket privilege
