Thorniley has played in the Championship with The Massive before joining us and played the majority of the second half with us last season and this season so he defo has an even keel of experience with Nelson

Don't think he's ever let us down, gets stuck in and is reliable. Nothing spectacular but when Ekipeta was alongside him it didn't make him stand out because at times he was doing the work of two.

Think he is a natural right footer who can use his left, put him in Goodes spot with Thorniley, bench Connelly for me.

He'll leave in the summer and get a better deal elsewhere, probably in league 1 aswell..And he deserves it

So based on 2 games, of which I don't think Nelson was all that, he's just a hoofer, an old fashioned centre half if you like, a MM player against JT who has been exemplary in every game he plays and in my opinion looks miles better than Goode or Nelson.

You were probably quicker than Bobby Moore, but reading the game is just as important as pace.

Jordan Thorniley most certainly hasn’t been exemplary in every game he plays…imo Connolly and Nelson are better options
