Critch said he had no option but to bring him off. Why. Was he injured or something. Or is there something else going on here. He didn't look injured to me.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

No idea with that or what is going on.

But for me he is in my starting 11... end of.
He's another conundrum. Not too many mistakes playing for Pool other than a couple of og's
Without question he's the best passer of the ball across the whole defence.
He's a left footed CB as well and that is definite advantage. (Just watch how the righties struggle with their clearances).
His minuses for a CB are a lack of pace and he's just a few inches short.
He falls into my category of decent left-sided players that we need to "tweak".

Good post.

Think he's made plenty of mistakes. Goal at Blackburn was his fault and Forest at home his poor play was involved in all four goals. That's just recently. He's ok, but Keogh is much better. For us to improve as a team I think he's only a squad player and that's how I think Critch sees it too. Critch may even let him go and I wouldn't be upset if he did.

Post match interview certainly suggested an injury. For me he has barely put a foot wrong either before his loan or since coming back and agree his left foot passing is an asset.
If he goes then all I can say is good luck wherever you end up but personally I’d be more than happy for him to stay.

Thornily is a very good player and as you point out a very good passer of the ball. A very valuable asset to the team…

…..I think there are a few more who have made plenty of mistakes as well,as was witnessed yesterday…..it happens end of.….as for his being apparently at fault V Forest there were plenty of others too.

I think that's what I said (and with your photographic memory for what has been posted on here, you'll know I've said it before) but I'm just not quite as forthright as you. 😉

of course, I was simply replying to Insy who said he hadn't made too many. And mistakes aren't just about things like giving the ball away. It can be about positional play too and in that regard I think Keogh is infinitely superior. I'd suggest there is clearly something in his game that Critch doesn't fancy. Especially in the long term. I'm sure Critch's attention to detail has poured over a great many stats, replays etc. Like I said though, he's not a bad player, but I think there's plenty better out there for the Championship level.

Took A Knock in the first half

Thorniley is an unlucky players. His mistakes seem to always cost goals. Having a left sided CH is always an advantage. Unless Pool can find a better one, he should stay.
