Three Bucket List Items

Bethlehem is one disappointment .
Lots ofseedy guys trying to con you .Disorganised long queues for the Nativity church.
There is no evidence he was born there anyway. The Nativity is just a fairy story.

Agree with yourNo 1 although I would be happy with just another season in PL.

Visit Vegas then West Coast and take a Cruise across Pacific. This would have gone ahead if not for Covid.

Take a luxury overseas train trip like Orient express or Rocky mountaineer.

1) See the Mighty win the Premier League.
2) Visit New York at Christmas time (When safe).
3) Visit Bethlehem.
I have done a lot seen a lot but you always have to have dreams.
1. No no no, have you not seen how it turns fans into wankers?
City, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal, T'Rovers, Leicester and now Liverpool. It's no coincidence.

2. Sorry, it's not all it's made out to be. Nice but🤷‍♂️....

3. Left field I suppose, as said before, no proof he was born there. Possibly not the safest place either.

But they're your dreams, go for it!!👍🏻

Happy just to get back to Prem

1 of my best mates lives in New York - ok for a visit but prefer other spots

Bethlehem - interesting but as said previously dodgy for a good few reasons

I think the recent events have focussed us on looking forward to simple outings with family/ friends

*a proper holiday with no mention of plumbing / boiler issues

*visit my sister in the US

* an inflation busting pension

  • The Pool to win a major trophy (a cup would be fine) in my lifetime, and for me & my son to be there
  • Never been to Australia or NZ, would like to watch England at RU or cricket whilst there
  • Good health until 80's would be nice

Bit unfair on No. 3. It all lacks evidence but contemporaneous gospels attest to it.
PS. Not religious.

Watch England play cricket in Australia and visit my niece
See the British Lions in South Africa
See my grandchildren get married or grown up and happy

1. Rocky Mountaineer and cruise up Inland passage.
2. Tour America for about three months taking in all parts of the country.
3. Blackpool back as an established PL team.

Drive down some old disused railway line somewhere remote.
Do a bit of urban exploring somewhere sinister.
Go to listen to a band indoors with beer again.
I struggled to come up with anything TBH.

Did that cruise from Vancouver a few years back, its amazing and highly recommended. Hope you can do it one day soon.
Yep, agree. We did the Rocky Mountaineer Railway journey then the inland passage cruise in 2019, after doing the coach trip (Cosmos) from Calgary.
The train journey is over 2 days. If or when you go, don't pay the £300 extra for the gold ticket because it isn't worth it. The cruise was the best we've been on (but not done many). We met an American couple who have done 20+ cruises and it was their favourite. Juneau (Alaskan capital), Kethcikan, Skagway are the 3 stops. Must. Admit to spending most of our day in The Red Dog Pub in Juneau.

I've looked into it a fair bit. Any thoughts on which to do first, cruise or train? And I know there are different routes to the RM. I think I'd like to start or finish at Banff, taking in Lake Louise. And a day in Whistler is on the list for that trip too. We actually nearly did it last year but got the opportunity to do Australia and then cruise around New Zealand instead which was magic and I'd highly recommend.

We flew to Vancouver and had a few days there, great place, then did the Inside Passage cruise, flew back to Vancouver and hired a car. Did Jasper, Banff, Ice parkway and Lake Louise, which is stunning and ended up in Calgary. Flew to Montreal, which was good and very French, in a good way. Would have liked the train but felt the car gave us more options.

sounds good. Missus is a bit of a train nut so we'd have to do the RM. Planned to do a few days in Vancouver.

Sounds like we both want to do both trips. We did a Cosmos coach trip from Calgary which included Lake Louise, Banff (beautiful place), Athabasca Glacier, and Jasper (where the RM starts) as well as Vancouver and Vancouver Island (not Whisper sadly but we visited the Olympic Park in Calgary). The RM trip was brilliant (never been fed so much food and drink in my life), but my favourite part of the holiday would be the cruise. The scenery was breathtaking. It was 15 degrees going past the Alaskan glaciers but I was as red as a beetroot. Felt better when a few other UK tourists looked even worse.

Did all those places when worked on the ships mate. In Juneau did Red Dog and the Luck Lady (Pub). Skagway did the Red Onion and Kethcikan did where ever the best clam chowder was. Going back Brian the singer in the Red Dog is a personal friend of mine.

1) Watch England win the Ashes in Australia.
2) Watch the Pool in a full house at Bloomfield Road.
3) Own an Austin Martin DB7.

Inca Trail/Machu Picchu (by foot whilst I still have a chance of making it)

A big family holiday with kids and grandkids (pretty much anywhere would do)

That’s it for me.

For some reason I have a thing about going to Yellowstone Park ,maybe do that one day and take in Colorado and get to see the Northern Lights before I peg it.

You will love Yellowstone Park and if you have time visit the Battle of the Little Bighorn which means travelling one of the most scenic roads in America - Beartooth Pass. As for Colorado visit Estes Park in the Autumn when elk take over the town. Spectacular.
