Thursday Night Attendance

Not really because it's live on TV and also the late KO will put some off....I honestly don't think the price is the first factor people will look at.

For fairweather fans it is.
I've spoken to plenty this season who wouldn't pay the high price of £30 when they could get the majority for 20/24 and Nobbers 28 last season, now your asking for someone to pay 30 for SU even at an earlier KO time many wouldn't have paid that.

Can’t see too many who will fancy Thursday night at present.

My guesses…

With Appleton 7000-7500 home fans and 3800 Sheffield Fans

Without Appleton 9000-10,000 home fans and 3800 Sheffield Fans

New Boss and a last minute push by the media team 10,000+ home fans and 3800 Sheffield Fans

A new boss or even just getting rid of Appleton really would make a massive difference at this point. Any compensation would likely be earned back in a couple of games as bad as the atmosphere / feeling is now.
Unbelievable

Because that’s what every fan who wants Appleton gone is asking for 🤦‍♂️

It’s dead easy trying to counter a reasonable argument with something ridiculous.

But what most fans want now is Appleton out and a new manager with fresh ideas in charge. It just so happens to be that such a move would also bring about a massive swing in the feeling amongst fans and that would also translate into bums on seats at games - regardless of pricing.
Most idiots want Appleton out

Most reasonably minded loyal fans just want to support the team

Club will count non attending season tickets like against Brum & announce a made up figure of around 13k
Prob be around 10-11k in reality

Local ST holders, so of course we're going.
Agreed with a lot of JJP's comments about the home crowd though. Yes the non attending ST holders get counted, but the atmosphere is often flat.

Giving almost the entire East to away fans is great for club revenues, but in our current form, handing advantage to Sheffield and then Sunderland isn't going to help us at all (hope I'm wrong).

I hope the team can kick on from the 3 draws and give the home crowd (especially the North) something to sing about.
I've only managed about 6 games so far due mainly to the early start & the usual caravan trips, then the WC break, It's felt like the seasons hardly started to me, might start to do the odd away now my disabled Brother In Law has decided to go with his floozy, but that's another story 🙄

It’ll be affected by being on Sky, the late kickoff, ticket price, cash shortage having spent a bundle at Christmas and New Year’s Eve to come, and the fact we’re in the bottom three and playing second in the league. Possible embarrassing hammering.

Some folks only go when they think we are likely to win, just as the North generate an atmosphere but vanish well before the end on bad days. Guess it's up to the individual, there's no right & wrong. I stay to the bitter end so must be an Uber fan 😂

Blackburn it is then. Can stand with us.

First time ever we have just had the conversation as season ticket holders with a 90 minute journey 'are we bothering to go on Thursday night?'. It's because the performances have been so awful. Absolutely nothing to get us excited at the moment. And that's having supported Pool for more than 40 years. Something definitely needs to change.

After turning down the offer of a free ticket on three separate occasions already this season, I've decided to stop looking a gift horse in the mouth. Got the choice of the South, West or North West, such is the lack of appetite for this one and I'm thinking nearest to Apples might be most fun. Probably the best atmosphere too.

Sadly I think we all know Appleton will be in charge - Sadler and Mansford need to read the room and realise they made the wrong appointment and there is still chance to save the day.
Personally living two hours away (and yes I have a ST) am very much veering to watching us on Sky.
That's sadly where we're at isn't it. I travelled 4 hours every time 'Pool played in the Prem even though a lot of the games were available on line. Loved the atmosphere and the football - even under Critch I'd have been there on Thursday to enjoy the game. The last few home games I've been to I've not enjoyed at all and there has even no atmosphere (bar the PNE game). In theory I could travel up in Thursday as I do have a ST and am off on Friday but going to spend Thurs/Fri more usefully and watch on TV.
